Why we Should Respect Our Teachers

My music teacher was really mad with us and he put as a punishment to write an essay of 560 with the title "Why

we should respect our teachers."That is what I wrote.

Once upon a time in a far away land lived a young boy named Alfred. Alfred was very naughty and he

always got into trouble. He loved to create chaos and destruction wherever he went. His parents were

ashamed of their son and even the best teachers of all the country who were known for making

naughty children obedient and behaved couldnt do a thing. Alfred remained disobedient and none

could do anything about it. He liked to mock his teachers, he found it amusing. One day at school

Alfred didnt pay attention in class and the teacher walked close to Alfred kneeled besides him and

asked him with a firm yet calm voice to pass out of class. Alfred turned his head to the teacher and

told him in an unimpressed tone: Why should I, you are not my boss.

As you wish. The teacher said as he got up and walked back to the front of the class. Because your

dear friend Alfred showed attitude the whole class will have an essay.

The children moaned and many tried to object at the decision of the teacher.

Yet the teacher wouldnt change his mind. You will have to write a 560 word essay with the title

Why we should respect our teachers and bring it to me tomorrow. Said the teacher. You can thank

your friend Alfred over there for giving you that marvellous gift. And pointed Alfred. So what! They

had to write some reasons why they should respect him. Big deal! But Alfred didnt care about the

essay. He wouldnt do the essay anyway, so why should he care. But he didnt measure how angry his

classmates were with him.

As school ended Alfred was about to exit the schools gates and go home but in his way stood the

whole class with red faces and furious looks. The boys cracked their fingers while approaching him.

The girls formed a circle around them so escape was inevitable.

Alfred looked around him, he looked every single one of his friends and classmates gang around him.

But he wasnt interested in whatever game they seemed to play.

Guys, I am really not interested in your game right now. Maybe another time. He said and took a

step forward but the boys pushed him backward. When he tried to back away from the other side the

girls closed his way. Now Alfred was scared. What did he do for his friends to gang up on him? But

then he recalled what the teacher said. The punishment that the whole class received, because of him.

It wasnt for him to write the reasons for them to respect their teacher as he firstly thought. No! It

was for the class to split and go against him. It was for him to feel betrayed, for him to understand the

consequences of not caring what happens. For him to understand that because of himself and only

himself he is in such a mess.

Look, guys II am. I am sorry. Alfred stammered, his heart beating faster and faster every

second, he stood there facing his classmates.

We are tired of getting into trouble every day because of you!! One of the bigger kids shouted at

him.

And then, all of them like a swarm of angry bees attacked Alfred.

When Alfred managed to get away he was full of grazes, cuts and bruises. He went home and locked

himself into his room and started crying.

Days had passed and Alfred returned to school after he fully recovered. But nothing was the same. No

one talked to him anymore. No one payed attention to him anymore. Alfred felt more alone than ever.

*Note: Even after this essay I would have still preferred to write 560 times the word sorry.
