Maritime history Maritime history is the study of human activity at sea .It covers the element of history that often uses a global approach ,although national and regional histories remain predominant .It is the broad subject that includes fishing ,whaling, international law, naval history, the history of ships ,ship designing ,the history of navigation ,sea exploration ,maritime theme in art etc.. From last 4500BC sea travel / water transportation was very important .TheAge of Discoverywas a period from the early 15th century and continuing into the early 17th century, during whichEuropeanships traveled around the world to search for new trading routes and partners
