Safety is our #1 Priority
• https://www.richland2.org/lceu/Pages/ArrivalDismissal.aspx
• Our main entrance is the only door open during the instructional day. Any visitor entering the building must use “Lobbyguard” and be released by office staff through secure door.
• All glass in building is either safety glass or tempered glass. • We have a Safety Plan in place to handle all emergencies.
We will be practicing our first drill this week and will continue monthly drills throughout the school year.
Classroom Visitation
• We welcome your visits to
our class; please sign in at
the front desk and get a
sticker prior to visiting the
classroom. Safety for all
students is our number one
priority.
• You are always welcome to
join your child for lunch!
Celebrations
• Our PTO sponsors two school wide celebrations per year. These occur before Winter Break and the End of the Year.
• Please check with your child’s teacher for allergy concerns. (When you treat the whole class.)
• Do not send invitations to school unless every child in class is invited.
Conferences
• We will be scheduling conferences with all
parents before the end of the first nine
weeks.
• Watch for future conference
schedules in your communication folder
and/or via e-mail.
Thursday Folders & Newsletters
• Communication Folders are sent home every Thursday, or when necessary.
• Sign and return the folder by Monday.
• Replacement cost is $1.00.
• This year we will not be sending classroom newsletters home, instead look for weekly e-mails with important information.
Contact Information
• Please make sure that the front office has your
most recent contact information for
communication between Mr. Williams, the
school, and the district office.
• Make sure that you have completed an
emergency contact form if you haven’t already
done so.
• Do I have your current e-mail address?
Homework• It is the students’ responsibility to copy HW
in their assignment book daily.
• Please review homework assignments with your child.
• Replacement cost for an assignment book is $2.
Student Responsibilities• Students are responsible daily for:
─ Arriving promptly at 8:00 AM ready to learn. Students are marked absent after 8:15 AM.
– Giving 100% effort.
– Copying and completing homework assignments.
– Reading at least 30 minutes each day
– Preparing for tests ahead of time at home
– Following school and classroom procedures, the 7 Habits, and Lifelong Guidelines.
Absences & Leaving Early
• When your child is absent, please send a written excuse on the day of his or her return or e-mail the teacher.
• If you would like to pick up assignments, call early in the day, or email. Work may be picked up after school has been dismissed unless other plans have been made.
• Please do not sign any student out after 2:15. This is a Richland Two District policy.
Attendance
• All students should be in the building by 8:00 AM.
• Students will be marked tardy if they enter the building after 8:15. Please sign your child in if they are tardy.
