About the eventThe Organizational Resilience Forum will examine how governments and businesses from the region are able to effectively prepare to handle unexpected events, even to the point where they could use these to seize the opportunitiesthey might present. With a growing sense that business environment is becoming less predictable, stakeholders are de-manding that companies manage risks proactively.

Having elaborate contingency plans in place to protect critical infrastructure, information and resources is no longer optional or nice to have, but increasingly key to the survival of governments and businesses alike and their ability to continue operating in the future.

The event will bring together the lead government agencies who are responsible for overseeing organizational resilience and business continuity management development in the GCC, as well as government bodies and private sector companies that are currently developing and implementing their plans.

The event will also focus on the UAE Business Continuity Management Standard, which is being developed by the National Crisis Emergency & Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA), who will present details of the standard at the forum.

Full Day WorkshopImplementing the UAE Business Continuity Management Standard

The workshop will take place from 8:45 to 14:00 on Wednesday 21 November 2012. Registration will commence at 8:00 am, with breaks and lunch provided.

This workshop will look closely at the UAE Business Continuity Management Standard and give you a good overview of the standard as well as the key areas it focuses on. You will focus on the practical implications you will face when you are implementing the standard in your organization. The workshop will also look at the code of practice and templates you can use to become compliant within your organization.
