As a participant in the 2015 Oregon Senior Games, presented by HUMANA, you will be able to mix and mingle to your heart’s content at the parties and wel-come events. You can also compete in your event(s) of choice, all on the sun-drenched flanks of some of the most breathtaking volcanoes in the Cascade Range.
The Oregon Senior Games are sanctioned by the National Senior Games Association, and are open to competitors ages 50 and older. While athletes from all over Oregon journey to beautiful Bend to compete, the games are open to participants from anywhere else in the world. What a great opportunity to plan a vacation in the sunny mountain oasis of Bend! With 16 different events to choose from, almost anyone can find a sport to train for in 2015. The softball tournament will be played at the High Desert Sports Complex in Redmond and will
feature teams from all over the region. The tournament will be broken down into the following
age categories: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 & 70+ years of age. If you have never had the luxury

Over the line is a bat and ball game that excludes the need to run the bases. It ’s a wonderful
team sport pitting three-person teams against each other with a focus on placement hitting
rather than power. Riverbend park will provide the perfect backdrop for
the Oregon Senior Games OTL tournament. This event will happen in
conjunction with the OSG Saturday night party and awards ceremony.

Table tennis is a game of skill and accuracy, keeping the mind fresh and the feet nimble. The
Oregon Senior Games will bring together some of the most skilled table tennis players in the

when you’re not at the table.

Pickleball has become one of the most popular sports in the Northwest, and Bend is a hotbed
with its new state-of-the-art sixteen-court pickleball facility at Pine Nursery Park. Friday will see
men’s doubles and women’s singles. Saturday will be women’s doubles and men’s singles, and
Sunday will be mixed doubles. Don’t miss out on your chance to play at a world-class pickleball
facility at the second annual Oregon Senior Games.

The track & field meet will be held at Summit High School. The
Summit High track & field complex is one of the premier facilities in
the nation, with a state-of-the-art Mondo Track. Athletes will
compete in 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, shot put,
discus, javelin, triple jump, long jump, high jump,
and pole vault. This meet will run in conjunction with a USATF Junior
Olympic development meet.

Whether you’re celebrating a win or drowning your sorrows, there’s a craft beer with your name on it along the Bend
Ale Trail. Hit the stops on a guided

Central Oregon Masters Aquatics is a group well-respected for organizing top-notch swim

The bowling portion of the Oregon Senior Games will take place at Lava Lanes Bowling Center
in the shadow of Pilot Butte—one of only a handful of dormant volcanoes located in U.S. cities.
Any event can be bowled at any squad time (squad times can be viewed
at oregonseniorgames.com). There will be both a handicap and scratch
tournament.

The shuffleboard competition will take place in Bend’s Old Mill District on
Friday and Saturday. This is one of two events hosted near some of the
best hiking in the Old Mill District, with beautiful riverside trails and views
of the Cascade mountains. We’re proud to showcase this venue for
shuffleboard.

Make sure your belt buckle is polished before heading out to the COSSA range about 30
minutes east of Bend on Hwy 20. Travel Hwy 20 east of Bend heading toward Burns. Assuming
you’re traveling east, the turn off to the range is immediately following milepost #24. Turn left
(north) off Hwy 20 and cross a cattle guard onto BLM land. Travel up the road a short distance
and then turn right (east) and enter through the COSSA gate.
NOTE: If you’re traveling east out of Bend on Hwy. 20 and reach a gas stop located in Millican,
you’ve gone too far! The range is located on the north side of Hwy 20. There is a small street
type sign on the right side (south) of Hwy 20 past milepost #24. Cowboy Action Shooting is an
exhibition event at the Oregon Senior Games.

The 5K Road Race will start and finish on the track at Summit High School
in Bend. Athletes will wind through roads and trails surrounded by
nature’s beauty. The walk will take place solely on the track.
