The following prizes are awarded during today's commencement ceremonies:

The Aurelian Honor Society Prize is awarded to a member of the graduating class • who; in the opinion of the faculty and fellow classmates; is outstanding in sterling character,,

high scholarship and forceful leadership.

The Faculty Prize is awarded to a member of- the graduating class with outstanding scholarship during the senior year.

The Madame Sarah Abbot Award is awarded to the young woman in the senior class who, in theN opinion of the faculty arid her fellow classmates, best exemplifies qualities attributed to

Mme. Abbot: strong character, effective leadership and outstanding scholarship.

The Non Sibi Award is awarded to honor a student whose efforts on behalf of others reflects the non sibi (not for self) tradition of the academy.

The Yale Bowl is awarded to the member of the senior class who has attained the highest proficiency in scholarship and athletics.

The following prizes were previously announced:

The Ayars Prize is awarded to a member of the senior class who, through work, perseverance, and seeking after excellence, has established a position of

• respect and admiration in the school community.

The Fuller Prize is awarded to the member of the senior class who, having been at Andover not lelss than two years, has best exemplified and upheld the ideals and traditions of the school.

The Improvement Prize is awarded to the member of the senior 'class who has been a student at Andover for at least two years and who has shown

> • the greatest development of character and scholarship.

The Isabel Hancock Award is awarded to a senior who has shown depth of understanding, sensitivity and response'to the needs of others, and concern for the welfare of all'.

The Kingsbury Prize is awarded to a student of outstanding character, who, in the judgment of the head of school, is especially distinguished for perseverance and resolution.

The Mark Lamer Memorial Fellowship is awarded to a member of the student body for summer work in the creative arts.

' - The Martin Luther King Jr. Award is awarded to recognize and encourage service toward social change offered in the spirit of Dr. King.

The Phelps Summer Award is awarded to a senior for community service, work or travel after graduation.

The Phillipian Prize is awarded for outstanding service • rendered to the student newspaper, The Phillipian.

The RichardJewett Schweppe Prize is awarded to a member of the senior class in recognition of an unusual spirit of cooperation and friendliness.

The Abbot'Stevens Prize is awarded to a member of the senior class who, -by virtue of character and leadership, has made a significant contribution to the academy

and to other members of the class.

The Sullivan Prize is awarded to a senior on the basis of scholarship during the previous school year.

In recognition of high scholarship, the Van Duzer Prize is awarded to a member of the senior class planning to attend Harvard University.

In recognition of character and scholarship, the Warren Prize is awarded to a* member of the senior class planning to attend Amherst College.
