Men’s Breakfast Canceled: The Tuesday Men’s breakfast will not meet January 14 because of the passing of Ron Echols’ wife, Theresa. The breakfast will resume January 21. Prayer Group: Men and women are welcome to join a prayer group that meets weekly at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays in the parlor. Children’s Ministry Director Search Committee: The members of the Search Committee for the next Director of Children’s Ministry are Ashley Bratton, Jeannie Brodie, Jim Dameron, Darryl Evans, Don Hebert, Laura Ann Hofler, and Susan Snow. They have finalized the job description, and a summary of the job description has been posted on the church website. Please pass along the information to anyone you know who may be interested in the position. You are encouraged to reach out to any of the committee members if you have questions or comments. Your input is welcomed, and your prayers are needed! Meals on Wheels: There is a need in our community for delivery of meals to some of Florence’s homebound elderly. This initiative launches out of the Leatherman Senior Center daily. Meals are prepared and deliveries are made to over 300 people each day. As many as 135 are still on the waiting list because of lack of funding and volunteers to deliver. If you would be interested in helping minister to these, please contact Bryon Frost ([email protected]), Debbie Jackson ([email protected]) or Chris Handley ([email protected]).
