    Principal’s Message:

Quote: “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than a year of conversation,” –

    Plato.

Some points to note at this time of year: A reminder that candy canes and other foods are not to be shared at school. We have a number of students

with allergies and we try to minimise any reactions to those who are susceptible to reactions. With less than three weeks until the last day of the school year for 2018, students are being engaged with

many enjoyable activities in class. We do encourage attendance at school until the last day- 19 December. Caps are not a part of our school Sun Safety policy. We also ask students be proud of their school uniform

outside school hours. The back car park has some traffic changes at the moment. New line marking will take place after a new

building (to cater for school growth) is in place. Thank you to all those drivers who respect our rules in this area.

    Nickname - Lu

If you had three wishes what would they be? - That I had a sister, that I could have my Year 3 teacher in Year 4 and that people didn't get sick.

What is your favourite subject and why? - Maths because I love learning my times tables.

What do you want to be when you grow up? - A teacher.

What is your favourite thing about OHPS and why? - Seeing my friends everyday because they are always nice to me.

A corroboree is a generic name for an Aboriginal dance ritual, often involving costumes and

    music.

The term was first used by British colonisers, who mangled

the original Indigenous word ‘caribberie’, and is now used in the

Australian language to refer to any large gathering of people.

    Stationery Requests for Next Year

We are trialling a new method of purchasing stationery requests for next year. Lists and quantities of preferred items have been built on the Sta-tionery Store website. Parents/carers can refer to the list and purchase all or some of the requested items.

    https://booklist.officebrands.com.au/stationerystore/orana-heights-public-school/

    Access code: 4701

The quantity amount defaults to what teachers would like each student to purchase. Please contact Stationery Store Online on 6882 5822 if there are technical difficulties.
