volcanos

* Were eroded by rivers, glaciers and

weather

* Can be found in mountain chains…

* …but sometimes are found alone

There is no life at the peak due to lack of oxygen and cold

…As time passes, water and wind will

change their actual shape.

The highest mountains are in Asia.

Are more than 7,000 meters above sea level.

They are part of the Himalaya mountain range:

*Mount Everest (China/Nepal)

*K2 (Pakistan/India/China)

*Kanchenjunga (Nepal)

*Lhotse (China/Nepal)

*Makalu (China/Nepal)

*Cho Oyu (Nepal/Tibet)

*

*In our country the biggest mountain is the

Aconcagua in Mendoza that has 7,000 meters

high and is located at the Andes chain.

*Other important ones are Pissis, Pissis 2 and

Bonete.

*

*You can ski during winter or climbing during summer.

*Some people participate in competitions to reach the top of the highest mountains.

*Last year I visited the mountains in Mendoza and I was able to climb a small one.

*Also, I visited the Pan de Azucar mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I went to the top in a cableway and took lots of pictures.
