About Oracle Retail Analytics

The Oracle Retail Analytics product suite consists of Oracle Retail Merchandising

Analytics and Oracle Retail Customer Analytics, with modules for other retail

domains planned for the future. Oracle Retail Analytics employs Oracle’s Fusion-

standard BI/DW technology, including Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Data

Integrator, Oracle Database, and optionally Oracle Exadata and Exalytics. Oracle

Retail Analytics subscribes to Oracle’s Common Enterprise Information Model,

aligning with Oracle BI Applications which enables cross-domain, Retail + ERP +

CRM analytics but packaged modularly. This modularity supports flexible

deployments of one or a small set of conformed data marts up to and including a

full set comprising a retailer’s strategic Enterprise Data Warehouse. Regardless of

deployment breadth, Oracle Retail Analytics is designed from the ground-up to

scale to the highest levels of data and user volumes that today’s retailers demand.

Pervasive consumption of Oracle Retail Analytics’ BI content is possible with

Oracle BI, including vehicles such as mobile devices, text message alerts, MS

Office, web portals, and more. By leveraging Oracle BI’s web services, URL-

based calls from Oracle Retail Analytics to applications such as Oracle Retail

Merchandising System (RMS) can be made in-context – for example, passing item

info as parameters to open an item-specific RMS form. Further, in-context actions

can be launched directly from an Oracle Retail Analytics dashboard in true

“closed-loop analytics” form, optimizing the process of turning analytics into

actions.
