Chapter 1Create Security Profile

To create a custom role we have to create Security Profile with a desired Data Role name that we want to display in our system.

After Creating this Security Profile a Role will create automatically in OIM and an Application Role will also created automatically in

Entitlement Server

Select Setup and Maintenance

Type Manage Data Role and Security Profile in Search then click Search button.Click on the label of Go to Task in the Search Result.

Click on Create button.

Type Data Role name to appear in your system.

Choose or Search for Job Role will inherited by Data Role, then press Next.

Choose the Person Security Profile, then press Next.

The assigned Security profile will appear to verify its options, then press Next or Review.

Verify all options you choose then press Submit.

Chapter 2Verify Role on OIM

After creating the Security Profile we need to verify the Role created on OIM and also remove the Job Role that we assign to make the custom

Role inherit from to ensure that no conflict will happen.

To open OIM; click Setup and Maintenance and Search for Manage Job Roles and Click Search button, then press the label of Go to Task in the Search Result

OIM server will open in another tap.Click Administration button.

Choose Roles from the drop down menu and enter the role name that entered in Security profile then press Enter.

The role will appear in Search Result click on it to open as shown.

Click on Hierarchy of the role then Select the Inherits From role and Remove it

Chapter 3Entitlement Server Add

DutiesThe Entitlement Server is where we can custom roles to add different

duties or custom duties to add different privileges.

To open Entitlement; click Setup and Maintenance and Search for Manage Duties and Click Search button, then press the label of Go to Task in the Search Result

Choose Application Role from the drop down menu and choose the module.Enter the Role name then click on Search button.

Double click on the role appears in Search Result or press Open button.

Open the Application Role Hierarchy then press Add button.

Type the Duties that will add in the Role then press Add. Note: press ctr to add more than one duty and use wildcard to make search easier.

Chapter 4Entitlement Server

Business UnitAfter Creating custom role we need to link it with business unit to show

the data.

From the drop down menu choose Role Template.

Type the name of the template to add the customizable role on it and press Search button.

Select the template and double click on it or press Open button.

Click on External Roles tap and press Add button.

Choose the Search type then press Role name and press Search button.Select the Role and press Add button.

Verify that the role was added and press Apply button.

Press Generate Roles button to generate the roles linked to BU on the system.

Chapter 5Assign Role to User

After creating the custom role and linked it to BU, its ready to assign to users as any standard role.

Open OIM as figured in previous steps.Search for user that want to assign the custom roles for him and open Roles tap then press Assign button.

Search for the role name that created before, the search result will show the custom role and also the custom role linked to all BU that created.

Verify that all roles wanted to assign for this users are successfully added.

Open fusion application with the User that custom role assigned for him to Test.
