Oracle Financial Services Data Management Application Pack Installation Guide is intended for

administrators, and implementation consultants who are responsible for installing and maintaining

the application pack components.

Prerequisites for the Audience

The document assumes that you have experience in installing Enterprise components and basic

knowledge about the following is recommended.

1 OFS DM Application Pack Upgrade Release 8.0.6.1.0

This Upgrade Release of OFS DM Application Pack is cumulative and includes all enhancements

and bug fixes done since the OFS DM Application Pack v8.0 GA release.

1.1 Prerequisites

You should have OFS DM Application Pack version 8.0.6.0.0 as the minimum patch

set level.

NOTE: You can refer to the Technology Matrix, for Hardware and Software Requirements.

If AAI version 8.0.7 or higher, it is mandatory to apply OFS AAI one-off 29479272.

1.2 Pre Installation Activities

The configuration file params.conf must be updated before triggering the Installation.

params.conf file is available in the path /OFS_DM_PACK/OFS_DM/conf.

In the params.conf file, update the value in the UPLOAD_MODEL parameter to 0.

1.3 How to Apply This Upgrade Release?

1.3.1 Installing OFS DM

Refer to the following instructions to download, extract, install, and configure this upgrade release.

1. Login to https://support.oracle.com/ and search for Bug 29016267 under the Patches &

Updates tab.

2. Download the OFS DM Application Pack v8.0.6.1.0 archive file and copy it to your

OFSAA server in Binary mode.

NOTE: The archive files are different for every operating system like AIX, Solaris, and

RHEL/Oracle Linux.

3. Login to the OFSAA Server.

4. Shut down all the OFSAAI Services. For more information, refer to the Start/Stop

Infrastructure Services section in Oracle Financial Services Data Management

Installation Manual Release 8.0.

5. Execute the following command:

chmod -R 777 $FIC_HOME

6. If you have Unzip utility, skip to the next step. Download the Unzip utility (OS specific)

unzip_<os>.Z and copy it in Binary mode to the directory that is included in your PATH

variable, typically $HOME path or directory in which you have copied the 8.0.6.1.0

installer.

Uncompress the unzip installer file using the command:

uncompress unzip <os>.Z

NOTE: In case you notice an error message “uncompress: not found [No such file

or directory]” when the package is not installed, contact your UNIX

administrator.

Give EXECUTE permission to the file using the command:

chmod 777 OFS_DM_8.0.6.1.0_<OperatingSystem>.zip.

7. Extract the contents of the 8.0.6.1.0 archive file using the command:

Unzip <name of the file to be unzipped>

NOTE: Rename or remove the existing OFSAA Application Pack folder from the

OFSAA server prior to extracting the contents from the release archive (.zip).

For example: For this release when extracted from the archive creates a

folder with name OFS_DM_PACK. Rename or remove if a folder with the same

name exists in the path where the release archive is copied.

8. Give EXECUTE permission to the upgrade release archive file. Navigate to the path

OFS_DM_8.0.6.1.0_<OperatingSystem>.zip and execute the command:

chmod 777 OFSAAIUpdate.sh

9. Execute OFSAAIUpdate.sh file using the following command.

./OFSAAIUpdate.sh

Verify if the release is applied successfully by checking the log file generated in the

installation folder present in the path: Installation

Directory/OFS_DM_PACK/logs/, and Installation

Directory/OFS_DM_PACK/OFS_DM/logs/. You can ignore ORA-00001, ORA-

00955, ORA-02260, and ORA-01430 errors in the log file. In case of any other errors,

contact Oracle Support.

10. For more information on securing your OFSAA Infrastructure, refer to the Security

Guide in OHC Library.

11. After successful installation follow these steps:

Clear the application cache. Navigate to the following path depending on the

configured web application server and delete the files.

• Tomcat:

<Tomcat installation folder>/work/Catalina/localhost/<Application

name>/org/apache/jsp

• WebLogic:

<Weblogic installation location>/domains/<Domain name>/servers/<Server

name>/tmp/_WL_user/<Application name>/<auto generated folder>/jsp_servlet

• WebSphere:

<Websphere installation directory>/AppServer/profiles/<Profile

name>/temp/<Node name>/server1/<Application name>/<.war file name>

12. Add umask 0027 in the .profile of the UNIX account which manages the WEB

server to ensure restricted access permissions.

13. Generate the application EAR/WAR file and redeploy the application onto your

configured web application server. For more information on generating and deploying

EAR / WAR file, refer to the Post Installation Configuration section in Oracle Financial

Services Data Management Installation Manual Release 8.0.

14. After the successful installation of the release, restart all the OFSAAI services. For

more information, refer to the Start/Stop Infrastructure Services section in Oracle

Financial Services Data Management Installation Manual Release 8.0.

1.4 Post Installation Configuration On successful installation of the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Application Pack,

perform the post installation steps mentioned as follows.

1.4.2 Populating Data for Account Drill down-Account Granularity(Variance Analysis

dashboard)

1. After selecting Financial Services Data Governance for the preferred jurisdiction,

navigate to Applications.

2. Navigate to Common Tasks > Operations > Batch Maintenance.

3. In the Task Description column, select the Create Granular mapper batch to edit the

Task definition.

4. Run the batch CREATE_GRANULAR_MAPPER by passing Parameter List as ‘ACCOUNT’

This batch is used to load data from the intermediator tables of the account drill down

with the matching Account Skey records in FCT_REG_ACCOUNT_SUMMARY.

Batch Name: FCT_KRI_DEF_UPDATE

This Batch is used to update the measure name, map key, and measure key for the Key

Indicators available in the system.

5. Pass the Current System Date as misdate for this batch.

6. After the war deployment, this batch must be executed.

1.4.3 Populating Data for Account Drill down-GL Granularity (Variance Analysis

dashboard)

1. After selecting Financial Services Data Governance for the preferred jurisdiction,

navigate to Applications.

2. Navigate to Common Tasks > Operations > Batch Maintenance.

3. In the Task Description column, select the Create Granular mapper batch to edit the

task definition.

4. Run the batch CREATE_GRANULAR_MAPPER by passing Parameter List as ‘GL’

This batch is used to load data from inter mediatory tables of Account drill down with

the matching Report Line Code records in FCT_MGMT_REPORTING.

1.4.4 Configuring the Parameter for Granularity drill-downs

Perform the following steps for post-installation configuration of Data Management Application

Pack:

1. Click Edit in Variance Analysis.

2. In the Criteria tab, navigate to Cell Identifier, and then click Column Properties.

The Column Properties window appears with the Style tab open by default.

3. Click the Interaction tab.

4. In the Link Text column, click the Edit Action Link.

5. Click Edit Action.

6. Enter the analytics URL

7. Click OK.

8. Click OK.

10. Click Save Analysis.

The analysis is saved.
