Programme StructureInordertograduatewitha“BA(Hons)EnglishforInternationalCorporateCommunication”,studentshavetopass9modulesfor thistop-updegreeprogramme(180creditsintotal,with20creditseach).Theprogrammeconsistsof4compulsorymodules+3modulesfromthechosenspecialistoption(Marketing/Translation&Interpreting)+2additionalmodules. Thefull-timetop-upprogrammecomprises3semesters(SemesterA,BandSummer),allowingstudentstograduateinoneyear. Most classes will be conducted in the daytime of weekdays.

Thepart-timetop-upprogrammelastsfor2yearsandconsistsof6semesters.Classeswillbeconductedonweekdayeveningsand/orweekends.

The2019graduationsurvey reveals thatover80%ofgraduateswereeither in employment or pursuing further studies a few months after graduation.Most of themwork in industries requiring sophisticatedlanguage and communication skills, including education, hotel andtourism,aviation,andpublicrelations.

Recent graduates pursuing further studies were admitted to Master’s degreeofferedbydifferentlocaluniversities,suchastheUniversityofHongKong,CityUniversityofHongKong,theHongKongPolytechnicUniversity,HongKongBaptistUniversityandtheEducationUniversityofHongKong.

Programme DeliveryThe teaching team comprises highly qualified andexperienced local academics and practitioners in the relevant professional fields. They include a number ofdoctoral degree holders, who have publications in theirspecialistfields.

Entrance RequirementsThis programme is specially designed for Associate Degree (AD) / Higher Diploma (HD) graduates fromlanguageorlanguage-relateddisciplines,suchasEnglishfor Business, Communication, Translation and BilingualStudies.GraduatesofAD/HDfromotherdisciplinesmayalso be considered.Applicants should have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 andpossess an overall IELTS score of 6.0, or equivalent.Graduates of local AD programmes with B- or above in at least one English language course may be exempted from theaforesaidEnglishrequirement.An admission interview and / or a written test may berequiredforsomeapplicants.
