Program description:Interactive course focused on strategies to optimize outcomes in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease and reduce rates of amputation. Course format includes rich didactic scientific discussions centered on the utilization of duplex ultrasound, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and atherectomy as well as the logistics of treating patients in an office based lab setting.
Target audience:Attending physicians who participate in the care of patients with peripheral arterial disease. Attendees should have a foundational knowledge of atherectomy and peripheral IVUS imaging prior to attending this course.
Faculty:
Daniel Krcelic, MD Dr. Krcelic is a vascular surgeon. He completed fellowship training at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte, NC and is experienced in complex vascular disease care.
Chris LeSar, MD Dr. LeSar is a vascular surgeon specializing in endovascular revascularization of peripheral vascular disease and critical limb ischemia (CLI).
