Dear Friends

“A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.”

Max Planck

ART is associated with health risks to the mother and child. Today, ovulation induction protocols involve several controversies in the drugs used, types of protocol and the risks involved with it. This update on ovarian stimulation will discuss many current strategies for ovarian stimulation, individual variability in ovarian response and its possible implications on oocyte and embryo quality and endometrial receptivity.

Being aware of the complex interplay between the ovarian physiology, ovarian stimulation, in vitro embryo development and IVF outcome will help in optimizing the ART outcome.

This conference aims to present knowledge that can be translated into daily practice by identifying patients who require conventional or mild stimulation for an optimal outcome.

Furthermore, the conference will address the protocols and laboratory systems needed to offer low-cost IVF in developing countries.

Jean Piaget has rightly said “Scientific knowledge is in perpetual evolution; it finds itself changed from one day to the next.”

We await your participation.

Warm Regards

Madhuri Patil C. Sharath Kumar Bina Vasan Devika Gunasheela Geeta NargundPresident Secretary Treasurer Joint Secretary PresidentKISAR (KarnataKa Chapter of ISar) ISMAAR

Course ObjectivesAt the conclusion of this conference the participants should be able to:

• know the effects and risks of Ovulation Induction• critically evaluate the prediction and prevention of OHSS• understand complexity of different ovulation induction protocols in terms of drug and dose used

and desired endpoint• know that individual differences exist in response to ovarian stimulation which are related to

intrinsic ovarian differences and its implications• critically evaluate the value of new methods – Mild and Natural cycle IVF• understand the implications of single embryo transfer• evaluate the value of IVM• identify the best methods to test ovarian reserve and monitor ovulation Induction cycles• understand the implications of low-cost IVF for developing countries

Who should attend?

• Infertility and ART specialist

• Obstetrician and Gynecologist

• Clinical embryologist

• Postgraduate students
