INTRODUCTION
DTG is a unit of EDF dedicated to on-site measurements (based in Grenoble)
EDF DTG developped in 2011, a tool called"OptimizV2" which, knowing :
the intrinsic performances of units (directly taken from site measurements)loss coefficients in pipes,
….gives the performance of the plant in all itsoperating configurations

INTRODUCTION
This allows an optimization of the use of the plant :
Knowledge of the power levels associated withefficiency peaks (whatever units running, whateverhead)
Knowledge of power margins available for contracting system services (Power-frequencyregulation)
Besides, it allows for major hydraulic plants, a monitoring of power

INTRODUCTION
This tool version 2 already exists (macros Excel VBA) and version 3 is being currently developped (intranet server with mathematical part on Matlab) Version 3 has extended functionalitiesThe following issue presents the features, uses and structure of this product.

OptimizV3 will be able to calculate for a monitoredperiod of supervision :
the production of the plant or the energetical coefficient (kWh/m3)
It will be able to simulate what would be producedand the Energetical coefficient (kWh/m3) with anotherHydraulic model.This is useful when you try to justify the added value of a new shape of turbine for example.

The tool is based on a matricial Newton Raphson iterative resolution.
The aim of the iteration is the convergence of
