[SEO Tips] Optimal Keyword Placement

Optimal keyword placement is an important SEO factor to make sure that your copy is properly optimized for search engine results. But what does it take to generate highly optimized articles?

To do this, you need to identify where you should place your keywords. It’s not just about using them in your article and being able to make grammatically correct sentences as you do so. You should also know the right strategy for using them.

To help you increase your chances of being read by search engines, here are the important places where you should have your keywords properly included:

Keyword Placement

Title

Put your keywords at the start of your title, or as close to it as possible. Your title should reflect the buyer keywords you have identified. It primarily tells the search engines what your web page or article is about.

A good rule of thumb if your not sure how to make an article title a minimum of 5 words but do not go beyond 10.

Keep it clear and straight to the point. Don’t forget to add creativity to your titles because apart from search engines, actual people will also look at your title and get them enticed to read it.

Meta Tags

There are actually two kinds of Meta tags being used: keyword and description tags. They are also seen on the web page itself. Both meta tags help your website to be indexed properly by search engines.

Many of the large search engines do not take meta tags into account, but do not ignore them because there are many more smaller search engines that do take meta tag keyword placement into account.

The search engines that still look at meta tag keyword placement use them as just one of the factors to evaluate whether the queries they receive match the content that you have.

On the other hand, even the search engines that don’t use them to determine search engine

placement, do use the meta description tag provides a brief summary of what your web page is all about.

Article Body

Of course, when writing SEO articles, optimal keyword placement should also be greatly considered when writing the actual content of your article as this contains the beef of your information.

But you must limit the number of times you will use your keywords and it’s best to place them at the first sentence of your first paragraph, once in the middle, and once again within the first sentence of your last paragraph.

This sparing use of keywords is also the reason why you also have secondary keywords aside from the primary one. You also need to take note of keyword prominence because the closer your keywords are to the start of your web page, the higher the chances of getting good ranking in search results.

Hyperlinks

Although it’s not required that you place links within your article, it does help a lot for search engines to identify your copy as valuable.

They will also evaluate the links embedded to your copy and see if the resulting content also expounds more on the keywords.

Hyperlinks also help generate more traffic to your main site, especially if you are using article submissions as part of your online marketing campaign.

In the end, you should never forget that a fusion of impressing the search engines and actual people should be your main task.

Don’t get too caught up in making your web pages or copy optimized for SEO and in turn forget about the fact that although you appear as first in the results ranking, if people are not interested with your copy then you will still not get clicks and website traffic.
