100 % electric: technology that excites.

A lead-acid battery drives the eHoftrac® to peak performances, only requiring an electrical connection with 230 volts or optionally 400 volts to do so. Two separate electric motors are used in the machine: one for the drive system and one for the drive system of the work hydraulics. This minimises the power consumption, because the performance is only drawn when it is really needed. The electric motor for the drive system also allows a dynamic and powerful start-up of the machine. This can be felt in every acceleration process.

Weidemann Hoftracs® always run with all four wheels on the ground, in any situation, in any ground conditions. And because the front and rear carriage can oscillate in-dependently of each other, they react sensitively to every unevenness. The eHoftrac® convinces with the highest manoeuvrability and an angle of articulation of up to 50°.

Heavy loads? No problem!

The 1160 eHoftrac® is a real powerhouse. As a standard, it has a tipping load with bucket of 1,348 kg.

A multi-tool for many applications.The eHoftrac® is in its element in zoos and animal parks. Whether for feeding, mucking out, sweeping or transporting. with the fully electric Weidemann, all work is completed in no time, without disturbing animals or people.

Thanks to the enormous variety of different attachments, your eHoftrac® becomes a multi-tool. You can find a selec-tion on page 14.

Compact design. Tight or low passages are the speciality of the small com-pact wheel loader class — thanks to the flexibly selectable driver’s cabs and compact design, the machines are always safely on the go in animal enclosures.

With the fold-down operator’s canopy eps (Easy Protec-tion System), passages under 2 metres in height are no problem. The eps meets the current European machine directive (2006/42/EC) for roll-over protective structure and FOPS protection. The eps can be folded down for low passages with a few simple steps.

Environmental friendliness that pays off in the long run.

The comparison of operating costs over the average service life of a machine shows that the costs of the diesel drive system are much higher than those of the eHoftrac®. Included in the consideration were the energy and service costs, as well as the cost of replacing the eHoftrac battery after about 1,200 charging cycles.

It can be said that the increased initial investment costs for the eHoftrac® are about 20 % when compared with a diesel machine of equal power. This will pay for itself after about 2,800 operating hours.

Emission values are reduced by around 43 % by the eHoftrac®, thereby documenting its environmental friendliness. If you add the energy generation and energy input from your own PV unit to this, then this results in even more considerably positive effects.

The eHoftrac® is absolutely quiet thanks to the electric drive system. You can only hear a quiet hum. This allows you to keep on working even during opening hours and your visitors can enjoy their time in peace and quiet.

Halt!

With the new Hill Hold function, the machine automatically stops on a slope — the operator does not have to brake as well.

Economic efficiency and environmental protection: these fit together well with the eHoftrac®. With the eHoftrac®, you are on the go absolutely free of soot particles. The 1160 eHoftrac® has received multiple international awards:

The classic 1160 Hoftrac® was implemented by Weidemann as the first fully electric Hoftrac®. One battery charge suffices for a work application of 2 to 5 hours, depending on the ap-plication conditions. This working duration is quite sufficient for machines in this performance category under normal conditions. The concept of the eHoftrac® is based on many years of tried and proven high-volume technology from conveying technology.

For a long service life of the battery: electrolyte recirculation (EUW).

An electrolysis takes place during use and when charging the battery. The electrolysed water must be topped off regularly (depending on the use, about once per week). At Weidemann, an electrolyte recirculation takes place during the charging process of the battery as a standard. By blowing air into the lower area of the battery, the acid content is spread evenly.

The eHoftrac® is charged by simply connecting the battery connector with the battery charger. As with any battery, some rules must be observed here when charging:

• The charging station can either be hung on the wall or can stand freely, e.g. on a rack.

• When charging the battery, sufficient air circulation must be ensured, as gases are released during the charging process.

• Do not place the battery charger near flammable materials.

Thanks to the almost parallel-operating lamellas, the EM tread is especially suited for loose soils, such as sand, gravel or crushed stone. This type of tyre has a large footprint, thereby achieving a high transmission of shear force and runs very smoothly on the road.

AS tread

The tapered lamellas provide for safe driving, especially on greasy and very dirty floors.

RP tread

Due to the large contact surface, the ground is traversed gently. This makes the RP tread particularly suitable for application on lawns.
