Missions’ Moment

Finding our Purpose, through following God’s call.

When Buzz Maxey spoke at the men’s breakfast four weeks ago,

It reads:

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always

abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your

labor is not in vain.

He also told a story about his mother, a farm girl from the Mid-

west, who moved to Papua and found a talent for linguistics she nev-

er knew she had, and she used that to help translate the Bible into

multiple tribal languages. His point was that God calls us to things

and places where we feel inadequate, but in our obedience to that

call, we find He has prepared us in ways we never imagined to

complete a task we would have thought impossible. Through fol-

lowing God’s call in our lives, we find our purpose, and through our

purpose, we glorify God; because, we truly could not have done it

without Him.
