INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY AT THE OPERATIONS CONTROL CENTEREDF Renewable Services (EDF RS) provides critical 24/7/365 remote monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting from its state-of-the-art Operations Control Center (OCC), increasing equipment availability, minimizing downtime and reducing operational and maintenance costs.
The Operations Control Center combines control center, SCADA and O&M auxiliary services into a Technical Services hub, with a “One Touch” integrated front end monitoring system to improve response times and more effectively track Key Performance Indicators.
■ Advanced Technology to Increase Customer Revenues
The OCC is equipped with scalable technical
infrastructure with component redundancy
capable of disaster recovery, mitigating risk
and managing compliance. This enhances
the OCC’s ability to monitor and diagnose
plant performance and to provide additional
sophisticated O&M services.
The OCC uses advanced technology to optimize
equipment availability and profitability, increas-
ing customers’ revenue around the clock.

CYBER SECURITY AND NERC COMPLIANCE PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
In accordance with the NERC’s implementation
schedule EDF RS will be well-positioned to offer
additional service offerings with significant
reliability compliance benefits to our customers
including:
■ Confidently evaluate the state of NERC
compliance across the organization
(even when outsourced)
■ Confidently rely on compliant NERC
CIP best practices
■ Effectively maintain mandatory
regulatory compliance documentation
■ Quickly respond to NERC audit data
requests
NERC COMPLIANCE SUPPORT > STATE-OF-THE-ART CYBER SECURITY > REGULATORY COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTATION
As renewable energy projects come under more scrutiny and
regulation typical with other traditional generators, we are
preparing for the future and enhancing our cyber security and
compliance capabilities. EDF Renewable Services is listed as
Generation Operator in the NERC Compliance Registry with
Western Electricity Coordinating Council, and is in the process
of meeting the corresponding mandatory compliance stan-
dards as set forth by NERC Reliability Standards.
EDF Renewable Services’ comprehensive implementation plans
to meet the significant changes in the NERC CIP Standards
have already begun. The OCC expansion and modernization
provides a perfect opportunity to continue our strong commit-
ment to provide best-in-class service to our valued customers
while helping to improve cyber security over the nation’s Bulk
Electric System (BES).
