The operator promotes green procurement whenever possible Eco questions are addressed at tender stage.
As part of the tender and selection process, all potential suppliers complete a commercial and technical questionnaire which includes specific reference to environmental issues e.g. whether or not a supplier has an environmental policy and environmental certification.
They are asked to read and agree to operator’s procurement policies.
They advise of actions they have taken over the previous three years to improve the environment, both by themselves and their own suppliers.
The Suppliers are advised that issues regarding the environment will be taken into account as part of the overall evaluation of tenders.
