Multiple reviewers can mark up document renditions, then an authorized user can merge the annotations and comments into one final markup file. You can then compare versions of documents, images, and even CAD drawings with differences highlighted in bright colors to ensure all changes have been made. Comparison views can include Changemark comments and annotations. Compare documents in different formats, such as Microsoft® Word® versus PDF renditions or a faxed, executed contract versus the original document.

Brava! for SharePoint also offers a Checkview feature, which enables guided review of forms, focusing a reviewer’s attention on items that need to be reviewed or acted upon.

Share Files Securely

Brava! Protected Libraries extend SharePoint security, so that users with read-only permissions can access documents through Brava! for SharePoint only. This lets companies share content with those who need the information, but prevents sensitive files from leaving the library without authorization. It also obeys the SharePoint security model, allowing only authorized users to view, print, transform, or comment on documents.

Brava! for SharePoint also contains redaction tools that allow users to completely remove privacy or proprietary data before making documents available. Remove sensitive content by using intelligent pattern matching, text search, or designation of “from” and “to” fields. In addition, Brava! for SharePoint offers the ability to redact whole pages and page ranges with a “peek through” feature allowing smaller amounts of text to be deselected.

Redactions, annotations, Changemark comments, and watermarks can be burned into the new file, and you can transform any document, drawing, or image file to TIFF, PDF, or secure Content Sealed Format (CSF) for archiving or sharing. Using CSF lets you add password protection, restrict print permissions, set an expiration date (time bomb the file), and more. Recipients view CSF files with the free OpenText™ Brava!™ Reader.

Streamline Business Processes

Review processes often require multiple users to view a document, add comments, and suggest changes. Embedding Brava! for SharePoint allows you to use the same workflow for all of your documents, track all the comments, and carry out a complete review process entirely within SharePoint.

Create PDF, TIFF, or CSF files for distribution within the company or to outside parties. To focus users on just the pages they need, adding the Doc Merge feature allows you to merge pages from multiple files into one cohesive file with simple drag and drop.

You can also include stock stamps like APPROVED and DRAFT, custom stamps, and watermarks or banners that include SharePoint document metadata values. Brava! for SharePoint will update the metadata in SharePoint, allowing you to mark a review complete, update a document’s draft status, add notes, or work with other metadata—all from within the stamping tool. The bidirectional stamps provide an easy way to attach up-to-date tracking information to documents.

When you’re finished with the document, you can quickly apply an electronic signature, date, and even a professional seal to the document.

Brava! for SharePoint will enhance your ability to collaborate more efficiently in SharePoint by allowing you to customize its interface and functionality. For example, you can hide tools that aren’t appropriate for a user’s workflow to simplify training processes and allow users to focus on just the tools they need to get the job done.

Brava! for SharePoint lets you add redaction codes to record the reason for each redaction.
