Oct. 11 - Nov.16, 2014 Visions and Inventions Donald Saaf Michael Stasiuk Jan ter Weele Donald Saaf makes paintings that reflect the local experience of his community and mirror his surroundings in rural Vermont. He is influenced by Outsider and Folk Art from around the world and his collaging of fabric, paper and paint are not too far from a quilt makers methods of breaking down the composition into organic forms and shapes. Michael Stasiuk is a multimedia sculptor who lives and maintains a studio in Portsmouth, NH. His figurative sculpture made from commonplace and often discarded items have an uncanny sense of animation and character. His works have a child-like sensibility that has been fueled by many years of teaching and collaboration with children and adults. Painting for artist Jan ter Weele is about color and the interpretation of real places near his home in Falmouth, Maine. Recently he has begun to disassemble the imagery of these places into abstract compositions which reflect the rhythms, patterns and colors of his landscapes. Boyan Moskov was born in Ruse, Bulgaria and was drawn to art from an early age. After completing his art education at the Troyan Art School and the Soifa Art Academy in Bulgaria he started his own pottery business doing both production and fine art work. He moved to the United States in 2007 and since that time has developed his skills as a ceramic artist, gaining recognition among his peers and collectors, striving to explore the medium of clay to the next level.
