To develop long term plans for Highway 43 from Beaverlodge to Smoky River in order to ensure that the corridor functions well in the future.

• Access to interchanges via services roads or local roads
• Rural freeways serve inter-regional traffi c
Highway 43 has been designated a future freeway by Alberta Transportation as part of the North South Trade Corridor (NSTC)

• Extend Hwy 723 south over Hwy 43 to connect to Hwy 667
• Reclassify existing Highway 667 designation east of the intersection to local road “Township Road 714”
• Remove direct access to Hwy 43 at east end of Township Road 714
