Students will need the following supplies:•1 – One Inch Binder or Greater (with at least 50 sheets of lined paper) & Two Diving Tabs•Several Sharpened Pencils•Blue or Black Pens (Several)•Colored Pencils•Highlighters•Glue Sticks and Scotch Tape•Flash Drive & Standard Calculator
Advanced classes:• Additional composition book for science fair projects• Small binder with tabs & pockets for science fair projects

GRADING POLICY
• Grading Policy – 55% of student’s grades come from assessments and 45% from class (labs…etc.) and home learning assignments. Extra credit is for enrichment purposes only and is NOT a substitute for missed assignments.

SCIENCE RESEARCH
• All SRMS advanced science students must complete a science research project.• All parents and students need to indicate the
level of participation: By executing the form located on my “science fair letter”.• All relevant forms and deadlines are listed at:• http://www.edfoundationirc.org/p/13/science-fair
HOMEWORK
• During the first semester, the focus of homework will be on the science research project.
SCIENCE RESEARCH DATES TO REMEMBER
• September 24th Research Log Due• September 25th Bibliography due • October 1st Typed Research Plan due• Approved plans can move forward with
experiments and data collection and analysis. Some plans will need county approval before experimentation can begin.• November 26th Final project, Display
board and Class presentations, December 6th SRMS school science Expo
