For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, (1 Peter 3:18, CB NT p. 411)

Open Hearts1 John 3.10-18

Synopsis: When Jesus came, he often demonstrated compassion, an open heart, for those who were in need (whether physically or spiritually), and through the parables taught us that we must have this same open heart for one another. This is what John teaches us in our text, that we are to love one another, as Jesus loved. In this lesson we are challenged to love with open hearts.
“Let all that you do be done with love.”
