Our family has produced maple syrup for over one hundred years and the tradition continues at our farm. Sap is collected from the trees with traditional buckets as well as a modern vacuum pipeline system. We recently completed an eco-friendly upgrade to our production facility, which includes a reverse osmosis system and a new evaporator, cutting our total energy consumption in half. In addition to maple syrup, we produce a variety of other maple products candy, cream, jelly and granulated sugar. We sell homegrown beef by the half, quarter, and individual cuts, including hamburger with no additives. Come visit our sugarhouse where you can learn about making maple syrup!

They start on pasture and finish on pasture providing for the healthiest, all natural beef possible. Naturally raised grass fed Hereford Beef provides more Omega-3 fatty acids, more Vitamin E & Beta Carotene. Raised Naturally and Tastes Great! In 2009 after losing my full time job I took my hobby to a whole new level and Red Fox Farm Jams & Jellies was established. We grow and produce many products on our farm-vegetables, maple syrup, cut flowers, garlic and hay. We have been rebuilding our soils using cover crops, compost, minerals, rock powders and certified organic fertilizers with the knowledge that the best tasting vegetables are grown on healthy soils. Many things have changed since we started Lucky Moon in 1992, but one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to growing the best quality vegetables. This land that we farm is ours for awhile-we feel that we are stewards given a precious piece of earth to work and care for. It is our hope that we can leave it a little better than we found it.

programs and services that are important to our shoppersand their health.

RootsIn 2012, Price Chopper celebrated its 80th anniversary.

Immigrant Lewis Golub started with a lunch counter and dairystore in Schenectady, NY, and then a wholesale grocery ware-

house, with sons Ben and Bill working alongside him. Aftervisiting a retail grocery company in Long Island, theybraved the challenging economy of the early 1930s to opentheir own retail grocery store, with food and dry goodsunder one roof. They continually brought innovative ideasto market, including the Grower Producer programs thatencouraged local farmers by offering to buy the best of theircrop, and the Empire State Red Label program thatestablished the egg industry in New York State. PriceChopper has been woven into the fabric of the food andagriculture industries in New York State, and continues togrow its community ties in many ways.

Family Mealtimes MatterFamily Mealtimes Matter started in 2009 as acollaboration between Cornell CooperativeExtension of the Capital Region and PriceChopper. We develop educational materials, an

outreach campaign, recipes and fun ways to helpfamilies enjoy meal and snack time together. In2011, we added a new partner, Eat Smart NewYork, nutrition educators for SNAP nutritionassistance, to our efforts.

EatingWellPrice Chopper has been working with EatingWell

Media Group to bring our guests the informationand inspiration they need to make healthy eating a

way of life. EatingWell delivers delicious recipes thatmeet stringent guidelines for taste and nutrition and

are easily made by home cooks. All EatingWell recipes areconsistent with the recommendations of: the American

Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Dietary

    Guidelines for Americans.
