We were the first real restaurant in Ubud established in 1974 and it is still run by Murni. We have made all of our own breads and rolls for a long time. We have always made all of our own yoghurt. We make all our own cakes and pies. We DO NOT add MSG Our service may be slow because we don’t even begin to prepare most things until they are ordered. We think everything tastes noticeably better if it’s prepared only when you order it. Sometimes our service is slow for other reasons, too. But, we don’t have any very good excuse for that. Wine made with varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo. Pale yellow colored with green per glass 149 trim. In nose highlights its fruity expression, grapefruit, green apple, mango and passion fruit combined with fl oral notes. A tasting mouth, it has a nice soft entry prevailing tropical fruit. This wine comes from the most expected growing of two grapes that have best adapted to per glass 145 our land. Sightly and intense cherry red color. In mouth stands out its openness recalling all sensations found in nose. A long, soft and persistent passing through makes a pleasure for all senses.

MURNI’S LONG-TERM ACCOMMODATION
Murni has long-term rentals in Penestanan
A little outside Ubud and Campuan, you’ll arrive at the rice-paddied village of Katik Lantang in south Penestanan. Penestanan is a lively village full of art, yoga and restaurants. Murni was born there and nearly everyone is related to her. Murni recently bought this self-contained, four bedroomed house and has refurbished, redecorated and furnished it. She put in a new pool. It is now available for long-term rent. Murni’s Villa Ligondi is bright, airy and comfortable. It is totally fly-screened. There is an electronic safe in every bedroom and good wifi and we will provide staff to keep the garden and pool clean. The four spacious bedrooms are on two levels, each with its own verandah and en suite shower, wash-hand basin and WC. All the bathroom fixtures are new. There are stunning views of sunrises over the rice paddies. There is a large upstairs kitchen and an entrance courtyard with a garage. The property is protected by a new sliding metal gate to the road and another Balinese gate into the living area. The Villa has been built with the best quality materials and workmanship. Murni was the first person to have a proper gallery of antiques, textiles, tribal arts, beads, jewelry, carvings, masks and other ethnic pieces in Ubud. The shop is right here in Murni’s Warung, decorated with items from her personal collection. Her sources are the best. The shop is on two floors. Many of the best pieces are upstairs. Murni travels extensively collecting unique treasures from as far afield as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma, China and Laos. Many of her pieces are museum quality.
She gave a talk on Balinese Textiles recently to the de Young Museum in San Francisco and it forms the core of Murni’s book on Textiles: From Tattoos to Textiles: Murni’s Guide to Asian Textiles, All You Need to Know… And More.
Murni exhibits her Asian antiques and textiles in San Francisco at the most respected shows: Arts of Pacific Asia Show and Tribal Arts & Textiles Show. She is the only Balinese to do so.
