For maximum mosquito control, operate your SkeeterVac continuously during mosquito season. Also perform the following activities. This combination will help you greatly decrease the nuisance and health hazard* to humans, pets and livestock.

Get rid of old tires, cans, buckets, bottles, or any containers in which water collects

Fill in or drain any low places in your yard

Keep water draining properly by keeping drains, ditches, and culverts clear of weeds and debris

Cover trash containers to keep out rainwater

Repair leaky faucets and pipes

Empty and refill plastic wading pools often during summer months and store it indoors when not in use

Fill in tree rot holes and hollow stumps with sand or concrete

Change the water in birdbaths and plant pots or drip trays at least once a week

Keep grass cut short and shrubbery well trimmed around the house so adult mosquitoes will not hide there.

After any significant rainfall, remove any standing water from your yard to help keep mosquitoes from hatching. (Eggs can remain unhatched for weeks or even months until they are covered with

M A I N T E N A N C E

Your SkeeterVac is designed to operate continuously. Perform the following maintenance every 21 days.

1. REPLACE CYLINDER:

Remove cylinder cover. Turn gas off at cylinder. Wait until green light stops blinking. Disconnect gas line by turning plastic knob counterclockwise. Remove cylinder. See page 4 for connecting a full cylinder.

2. REMOVE BAIT CHIPS:

Open trap. Remove and discard bait chips.

3. REPLACE TRAP NET :

Open trap. Remove black cover from clear tray. Pull drawstring on net. Remove and discard net. Place fresh net back on cover. Place cover back on clear tray.

4. REPLACE BAIT CHIPS:

Follow operating instructions on page 5 for installing fresh bait chips.

5. RESTART:

Follow operating instructions on page 5 for starting engine.

Clean dirt and debris from air vents and surfaces as required using soft damp cloth (no chemicals or abrasives).

Store SkeeterVac indoors when not in use. Remove cylinder before storing. NEVER STORE PROPANE CYLINDERS INDOORS.

CAUTION: IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT BAIT CHIPS

This product is intended to increase the effectiveness of Blue Rhino SkeeterVac mosquito exterminator devices by luring biting mosquitoes. This product releases 1-octen-3-ol, an insect attractant, continuously for up to 30 days. For use only with Blue Rhino SkeeterVac mosquito exterminators. SEE PACKAGE FOR ACTIVE INGREDIENTS.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

CAUTION: Harmful if swallowed, absorbed through the skin, or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mouth. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

If inhaled: move to fresh air.

If on skin: Wash affected areas with soap and water.If in eyes: Flush with plenty of water. Call a physician if irritation persists.

Always follow these rules for safe use of your SkeeterVac:Locate SkeeterVac outdoors at least 5' from combustible materials.

Never use near gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids.

Do not allow children to operate or play near your SkeeterVac.

Never move when in use.

Inspect for damage or wear during each maintenance cycle.

Never operate if parts are damaged, missing or improperly installed.

Use only quality propane and 20# DOT approved cylinders from a reputable source such as Blue Rhino cylinder exchange.

Always transport your cylinder in a secure well-ventilated location in your vehicle. Cylinder should be upright with valve turned off. Cylinder should be taken directly to and from place of use.

Problem: Appliance does not start

Solution: Check cylinder to make sure it has propane and valve is open

Follow lighting instructions on engine (solid green light indicates combustion is occurring, blinking green light indicates combustion and fans operating)

Make sure fans and air intakes are free of debris and/or any foreign objects

Problem: On indicator (green light) does not blink

Solution: If light is solid green, wait several moments and fans should begin to operate-—light will begin to blink.

If light is solid green and fans are still not operating after several minutes, make sure air intakes are free of debris and/or any foreign objects.

Problem: Appliance was running but stopped and won’t restart

Solution: Check cylinder to make sure it has propane

Make sure fans and air intakes are free of debris and/or any foreign objects

Problem: Appliance is running but not capturing mosquitoes

Solution: Make sure appliance is located upwind from mosquito habitat

Make sure fans are operating. If they are, the ON light will be blinking.

Make sure trap (net) is properly installed
