ALARM LIGHT BRIGHT CONTINUOUSLY NO LOSS OF POWER
Stop at next convenient point and check cubicle indications
Traction Motor Blower o f f
Check both blowers to see which one has stopped
Test and, if necessary- change fuse
If a blower s t i l l does not run continue journey but do not allow the main ammeter reading to exceed 600 amps.
Fuel Supply Emergency
Check gauge on emergency fuel tank
If about 40 gallons le f t this w ill su ffice for about 30 m iles. Turn F .T .I .S . to "Off" and clear main line within this distance
If time permits clear a ir locks as detailed in Fault No.13.
Water Temperature high
Check radiator shutters are open and check watertemperaturegauge
Continue journey at reduced power u ntil alarm ligh t dims.
If alarm light does not dim, check water temperature gauge if temperature s t i l l rises allow engine to idle until warning light dims, then proceed
If the cause is other than closed radiator shutters - report defective cooling system.
Water level low *

NOTE: - On E.E. or on modified lo cos , check cooling water level and top up if necessary, Beware o f overhead conductors
Fuel starvation (On M irrlees engines
only)
1. Open cock ' A' .Cock is below the emergency fuel tank
2. Slacken both bleed screws on transfer pump and allow fuel to flow until it is free of a ir bubbles.
3. Tighten suction side bleed screw on pump (nearest engine)
4. Turn F .T .I .S . to test
5 . When fuel flows without bubbles from delivery side bleed screw, screw it up tigh tly
