Of course, Christmas carols will be on the menu, and I’ll be sharing a special message of how gold, frankincense, and myrrh are Old Testament symbols that point us to Christ’s great qualities. On New Year’s Day (Sunday), we will have a joint Sunday School time in the sanctuary at 9:00 a.m. I will lead us in an extended time of prayer for repentance, revival, and missions. Then we will celebrate another year closer to the second coming of our Lord in our worship service at 10:30 a.m. My prayer for my family and yours is that we will allow Christ to draw us closer to himself and to one another. Money given to this effort helps Southern Baptist Missionaries share the Gospel with people in countries around the world. The IMB’s national goal this year is $155 million.
