Matthew Lin Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-21 Please sign this petition! Together we have a voice! Help our community - ourfamilies and our kids - take a stand against an unwanted junkyard businessthat has shown little regard for the welfare of its neighbors, being a communitypartner, and for paying its taxes. Can you help us envision a better day for ourneighborhood?

jose Figueiredo Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-21 The presence and practices of this junk yard have shown a disregard for thewell being of the people in Hunting Park for years. Their removal has beenlong overdue. It's time for them to go!

Chris Nielson Milwaukee, WI 2015-02-21 I lived in Hunting Park for two years and saw the impact it had on thecommunity. Hunting Park will be stronger without it.

N A Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-21 This place has long been a disturbance to the neighborhood and the landwould be much better used for other purposes.

Peter Hileman Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-21 the junk yard owner Michael McAnally doesn't own the land on which heoperates the junk yard - it is an extinguished railroad right of way which revertsto adjoining landowners. He has bullied his way around to use other people'sland. He's making money while ruining the neighborhood. He hides behind hislawyers and fictitious names and other people. It's time we stood up to him andrevealed the truth about his operation.

Ken MacBain Philadeiphia, PA 2015-02-21 The junkyard has not followed rules, storing junk beyond the land that theyown, not cleaning up. The community has developed with many busineasesthat serve children and youth very nearby. The health center hosts gym classesfroaboundfcal schools, as well as youth groups and other fitness activities. There are numerous churches and schools and a bicycle store in the nearneighborhood. Environmental and safety issues abounded due to the proximityof the junk yard.

Felicia Cordova Mendota, IL 2015-02-21 I'm signing because I care about my city

Kevin Deane Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-21 It's time to rid our community of this mess.

Debra Ortiz-Vasquez Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-22 This has been a long standing issue in the community. There have been firesin the yard due to illegal handling of gas. It is a hazard and an eyesore in acommunity that is making major strides in providing quality of life for itsresidents. Juliet Fajardo Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-22 The owner, Michael McAnally, actually does not own the land he operates hisjunk yard on. He has mistreated the neighboring property owners andbusinesses, and the neighborhood of Hunting Park has been trying to right themany wrongs the junk yard has imposed upon its surroundings for years now. Please do not let this continue, and remove the junk yard for good.

Sharon Newman Ehrlich Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 I care about Hunting Park!!

Art Sampson Egg Harbor Township, NJ 2015-02-23 The community needs improvement to turn this junk yard upside down andcreate a place where kids can play and hold church services to honor God.

Charlene Peralta Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 There are kids all around that area. It is neither safe or legal

Rick Lpez Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 This is an eyesore on a thriving community.

Allen Gail Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 I do not wish to see a junk yard first of all where people live and where peopleattend Seminary and also there is a health care facility in this area as well, andthey are trying to make the area look better which will invite more business.

Linda Evans Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 Because I care about my community environment

Stephen Taylor Elkins Park, PA 2015-02-23 I teach at a seminary class conducted right around the corner, we ( family andI) use the services of Esperanza Health Services butting up on the junkyard, and we have numerous friends who live in the community who are working tomake it flourish.

Carlos Worthy Willingboro, NJ 2015-02-23 Transformation begins as an internal process and as it relates to thiscommunity we have to remove signs or indicators that devalue and serve asreminders of oppression. This junkyard, seems to be functioning as a cancer tothe surrounding community and removal of it would continue to enable thecommunity to experience healing and transformation.

Homonda Pearson Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 We need to keep the community clean and safe. This is not a location for suchactivity.

Andres Fajardo Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 I have lived in and served in Christian ministry in Hunting Park for 16 years now- this business represents symbolically and in unpleasant reality the forcesholding back community-driven development in low-income neighborhoodssuch as ours. It has had multiple (I once saw a 3"-high paper stack of them ata Zoning Board hearing) zoning, health, tax and other city regulation violationsover the years and yet has been allowed to continue operating due to Cityregulatory ineffectiveness and inconsistency. This is a chance for the CityZoning Board of Adjustment to join local residents in leading our city inovercoming this unfortunate tradition and taking a concrete step towardsrenewal. For the good of Philadelphia, this application must be denied.

Asteria Vives Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 DENY Permit Application #580863

tina jones Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-23 The junk yard is a big eye sore in our community. It is not benefiting thecommunity at all, instead it just makes our community look worse than it reallyis. Years ago there were talk of that space becoming a community playgroundfor the children then the next time we looked up it had become a junk yard ,bringing in terrible odor, mice and lingering mosquitos and other insects andpests. The quicker the junk yard is gone the better our neighborhood would beon so many levels.

Natalie Martinez Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 To improve the quality of life in Hunting Park.

sandra negron Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I'm tired of seeing our part of our city as a dumping site.

ross watson Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I work 2 job both within 2 blocks of scrap yard and have a lot of friends in thearea

Tanya Figueiredo Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 Our neighborhood is a densely populated, residential community with over3000 school aged children, There are four trash dumps within this community, which I believe is appauling. This particular trash dump bought rights for theland from the railroad, which should not be allowed as the land was taken notbought. The junk yard boarders the back of a block of row homes, a healthcenter, and a day care center. Their practices have not been up to code. Thecommunity has never supported its existence, and has had to suffer for thelack of cleanliness, the increased presence of rats, and other health hazards.

Amy Perez Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I attend church and serve on a non-profit board near this location. It is a blightin a community that has been improving for years. Please get rid of it!

Glenna Deem Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I work adjacent to the junk yard. There is no appropriate place for this type ofbusiness in a thriving, growing urban neighborhood.

Stephanie Grier Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I previously lived in the neighborhood and know the problems from the junkyard

Amy Whitfield Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 The junkyard needs to go. It has been an eye sore for many years. I was bornand raised in Hunting Park. There is a lot of improvement compared to when Iwas growing up there but it will be even better if this is removed.

November Hernandez Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 There is place for everything. This is a wrong place to have junk.

Georganne Schleinkofer Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I love the great things that are happening in this community and a business thatwill not/does not contribute responsibly should not be permitted to contribute....

Juan Gonzalez Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 They are carless neighbors to the community. For example, I have to walkthrough mud and dirt (or walk in the street) to pass by their property so that Ican get to and from work.

Selima lamb Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-24 I've lived on 600 block of Wingohocking for 20 years. The entire time this placehas been a drain on the community.

Michael Trout Berwyn, PA 2015-02-24 i wouldn't want me kids going to school next to a dirty junk yard.

Jesse Bauer CHICAGO, IL 2015-02-24 I lived around the corner on the 4700 block of north 9th street from 2007-2010.This scraped never ceased to be a going concern of the good people in thecommunity and it astounds me that the City has continued to allow them tooperate to this day.

Violet Chen Lancaster, PA 2015-02-25 We do not want to live, work, study, pray, and play next to a junk yard anymore.

Mr. Curtis Wright Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-25 This "business " is not only hurting the progress of our commercial businesscorridor of Hunting Park, but in conjunction is a Grave Health threat for theSchool Children blocks away and other vital members of our belovedcommunity!

Carol Williams Philadelphia, PA 2015-02-25 We are struggling enough to move away from our neighborhood being referredto trashy. Please get the scrap yard out it is an eyesore

    R. Todd Mangum Oakland City, IN 2015-02-25 As the academic dean of Biblical Seminary, I want to support the communityand the business development of Hunting Park, where we have a fullyaccredited extension site (at Joy in the City). We train missional leaders toengage such issues of economic and social justice in practical ways -- as partand parcel of what the gospel of the Kingdom is about. As a disciple of Jesus, Iam pleased to be able to stand with the community of Hunting Park for justice, and just a better quality of life, in this way.

Frank James Hatfield, PA 2015-02-25 As president of Biblical Seminary, I am signing this petition because ourseminary extension site is very near this junkyard. It is both an eyesore and apotential hazard to the community.
