Online Examination System for Sanothimi Campus

Introduction An online examination test provide

instructions about online exam services and result as soon as we submit our paper.

Online exams can be administered more efficiently, less costly than paper and pencil exams, allow for automatic recording of grades, and offer more flexibility in scheduling for both students and faculty.


Introduction online examination question have

multiple option with one correct answer.

It stores the information about Students, Exams, Report, Results, and Student’s details. Online examination system avoids the traditional examination system.

This project is designed by object oriented technology.


Statement of Problems

Difficult to manage all manual data on paper

Human error to manage and keep records of students manually

Delay on feedback Personal bias from the

evaluator


Objective

To be able to give objective exam online, with facility for automated result.

To convert manual exam system into computerized system


Scope Online exam system is designed for

educational institute This system handles all operation

and generate report as soon as the test is finish.

Type of question is only objective in nature

Teacher can use this software to conduct examination.


Limitation

Question are generally objective type so no chance to get marks for writing related question.

If internet connection is slow it create problem.

Everyone is not having knowledge of computer


Data collection methods

Study existing system of the Nepalese evaluation system.

Providing form to the different school and university as well as teacher and student to identify their traditional examination system limitation.

Face to face co-operation with different examination board as well as private school committee to know their difficulties of the existing examination system.


Requirement Specification/analysis

To prepare an exam, safe time that will take to check the paper and prepare mark sheet.

Is being lunched because a need for a destination that is beneficial for both institutes and student.

Student can give exam and view their results.

Attempt to remove the existing flaws in the manual system of conducting exam.


Software development methodology

There are many online examination systems available in the market today.

So waterfall model can solve an actual problems in an examination, software developer or a team of developers are integrate with a development strategy that include the process, methods and tools layer and generic phases.


Hardware/Software Requirement

Front end as: HTML / ASP.net MVC4 Back end as: SQL server 2008 Server: IIS Querying language: SQL Hardware requirement: PIV CPU and above, Software requirement: Microsoft Windows

(XP, Windows 7) Web Browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla

Firefox, Google Chrome


Delimitation This system is not provides print

utility to print the question paper as per your requirement.

Parents can’t keep track of their kid’s performance.

This system will not contain any audio component to enable the visually impaired to use the product.

No one can take offline exam.


Expected Output

In the beginning, the proposal is to develop an online examination system which would enable students to take tests and check results online.
