Step Action

1 In the Web browser application, type https://www.honeywellprocess.com.

2 Type your user login and password and click Login.

2. What’s new in OneWireless R210.2? Note: OneWireless R210.2 is a maintenance release that supercedes OneWireless R210.1. For features added to R210.1, please see the OneWireless R210.1 release notes.

2.1 User Interface The Silverlight plug-in, required to access the OneWireless 210.2 user interface, has been upgraded to version 5.1.30514.0. This plug-in resides in the WDM. After you upgrade the WDM, you will be prompted with instructions to upgrade the plug-in on your web browser when attempting to connect to your WDM.

Starting on November 11, 2014, Microsoft will expand the out-of-date ActiveX control blocking feature to block outdated versions of Silverlight. This Microsoft update will prevent web pages from being able to load a Silverlight ActiveX control older than (but not including) Silverlight 5.1.30514.0.

It is recommended that the WDM be upgraded to this (210.2) release before the Microsoft update mentioned above is installed.

3. Installation

3.1 Prerequisites Supported browsers

Supported Silverlight plug-in versions

The following diagram lists the minimum supported version of the Silverlight plug-in required to access the OneWireless R210.2 user interface. If the Silverlight plug-in is not installed or needs to be upgraded, you will be prompted with instructions to install or upgrade the plug-in when attempting to connect to your WDM. The Windows Silverlight plug-in resides on the WDM.

The direct migration path from OneWireless R100.1 or R110.1 to R210.2 is not supported. You must migrate to R120.1 patch 11 first and then migrate to R210.2. Note that R120.1 patches must be installed on your OneWireless server and firmware must be updated on your multinodes and field devices before migrating to R210.2. Migration is not possible unless all required R120.1 patches are installed on your OneWireless R120.1 server.

The direct upgrade path from OneWireless R200.1 to R210.2 is not supported. You must upgrade to R201.1, R202.1, and then to R210.2.

The following are the supported migration paths for the OneWireless Network:

• OneWireless R100.1 to R110.1

• OneWireless R110.1 to R120.1 initial release

• OneWireless R120.1 initial release, patch 4, patch 5, patch 6 to R120.1 patch 7

3.2 Migrating from OneWireless R120.1 Refer to the OneWireless R210.1 Migration User's Guide for instructions on how to migrate a OneWireless R120.1 system to OneWireless R210.2.

ATTENTION: OneWireless Network ID 1 is supported in R120.1 but is not supported in R210.2. Migration from R120.1 with Network ID 1 automatically reset Multinodes and field devices to defaults to allow the use of Over The Air Provisioning to re-establish security without having to physically re-key devices.

ATTENTION: The logic that drives the rightmost Multinode LED, either labeled “Field I/O” or “FIPS/Mode”, changes between R120.1 and R210.2.

• In R120.1, this LED indicates status depending on whether the Multinode is configured as a gateway or a multinode.

• In R210.2, this LED indicates status depending on whether the Multinode is configured in FIPS mode or Non-FIPS mode. Refer to the Multinode User's Guide for additional details.

3.3 Upgrading from OneWireless R210.1 If your OneWireless system is already upgraded to R210.1, you only need to upgrade your WDM to 210.2. Refer to the OneWireless R210.1 Wireless Device Manager User's Guide for instructions on how to upgrade the OneWireless R210.1 WDM to OneWireless R210.2.

ATTENTION: You must close your web browser after upgrading to OneWireless R210.2. If your web browser is not closed after the upgrade completes, your browser may continue to display the OneWireless R210.1 user interface.

Under some circumstances, you may need to clear temporary or cached files from your web browser after upgrading.

ATTENTION: Ensure that the web browser is configured to use TLSv1 protocol for https communications. This option is enabled by default on most browsers. See your web browser’s documentation on how to enable/disable security protocols.If this protocol is not enabled in the web browser, it will fail to connect to the WDM after upgrade completes.

ATTENTION: Upgrading the Wireless Device Manager to OneWireless R210.2 may result in changes to the wireless network topology. During the upgrade, the WDM will reboot and after reboot, the R210.2 System Manager will re-assess ISA100.11a network deployment characteristics and may result in the selection of new ISA100.11a communication paths.

4.1 Multinode PAR Error Description, Recovery, and Workaround

1-LA947K Error Indication: A multinode may drop from the 802.11a/b/g mesh if the "Tx Rate" setting is 22 Mbps or greater.

Description: A multinode may drop from the 802.11a/b/g mesh network when under heavy network load and the transmit rate limit setting ("Tx Rate") is set to 22 Mbps or greater.

Recovery: The multinode will recover automatically as network load decreases.

Workaround: Configure the multinode transmit rate limit setting below 22 Mbps. Honeywell recommends that this setting is configured to 12 Mbps.

1-U2QPOJ Error Indication: Extended temperature MN (WNMS) resets to defaults after migration from OneWireless R120.

Description: An extended temperature multinode may reset to defaults after migration from OneWireless R120 mesh firmware to OneWireless R2xx mesh firmware version 102.

Recovery: Migrate the multinode to OneWireless R2xx mesh firmware version 76 and reboot the multinode before upgrading to OneWireless R2xx mesh firmware version 102. If the multinode has already reset to defaults, reconfigure the multinode. (Note that the IP address will reset to the default IP address of 192.168.254.254.)

Workaround: None.

1-U9IE1T Error Indication: Extended temperature MN (WNMS) defaults to FIPS mode after migration from OneWireless R120.

Description: An extended temperature multinode may default to FIPS mode after migration from OneWireless R120 mesh firmware to OneWireless R2xx mesh firmware. Honeywell recommends that multinodes are configured in the non-FIPS mode after migration to OneWireless R2xx. When possible, configure and test your multinode before mounting and installing in the field.

Recovery: Manually change the multinode to the non-FIPS mode after migration. After changing to non-FIPS mode, the multinode will restart to defaults and will need to be reconfigured. (Note that the IP address will reset to the default IP address of 192.168.254.254.)

Workaround: None.

Caution: Changing the FIPS mode configuration results in Multinode reboot to factory default state. (Note that the IP address will reset to the default IP address of 192.168.254.254.)

1-NGUZ11 Error Indication: Extended Temperature Multinode has Wireless Bridge > Radio > Channel No. selections for which the radio does not work.

Description: The Extended Temperature Multinode (WNMS) with 4.4.0.00.76 firmware has unexpected channel number selections for 36 (5.18 GHz), 40 (5.2 GHz), 44 (5.22 GHz), and 48 (5.24GHz). These four channels are not covered by our certification for use in FCC regulatory domain and when selected the radio does not work.

Recovery: Modify the Multinode configuration to not use any of these four channels.

Workaround: Do not configure any of these four channels.

PAR Error Description, Recovery, and Workaround

1-QZYICV Error Indication: Failure to read config change counter on HART 6 device when connected with OneWireless Adapter.

Description: FDM (or any other HART client) is unable to read the “Config Change Counter” parameter from a HART 6 device connected to a OneWireless Adapter.

Recovery: None.

Workaround: None.

1-NSTC63 Error Indication: Communication lost between WDM HART Interface and FDM after several hours of monitoring, devices appear inactive in FDM with error 16004.

Description: Field devices exposed through the WDM HART Interface and monitored by Field Device Manager (FDM) may infrequently appear as inactive in FDM with error 16004.

Recovery: Rebuild network within FDM, reopen any affected devices within FDM.

Workaround: None.

4.3 Modbus Interface

PAR Error Description, Recovery, and Workaround

1-SVRIBL Error Indication: Modbus TCP doesn't work if configured port number is configured for a port other than 502.

Description: The Modbus TCP interface on the WDM allows a user to configure the port number. If a user configures a port other than the default value of 502, external Modbus TCP clients will not be able to connect to the WDM due to the internal firewall.

Recovery: None.

Workaround: Use the default port configuration of 502.

4.4 System Manager

PAR Error Description, Recovery, and Workaround

1-QY8CZV Error Indication: FDs drop-off when redundantly connected with two AP and the primary AP is powered-off.

Description: The WDM was experiencing significant clock drifts which was causing significant time difference between the primary AP (which was clock master) and the secondary AP (which was correcting its clock from clock master). Upon powering off the primary AP, the FDs were not able to communicate with the secondary AP due to time drift. In other scenario, occasionally few Devices are dropping during Parent switch-over when the parents are loaded to full capacity.

Recovery: Automatic as the Field Device re-joins the ISA100.11a network in a few minutes.

Workaround: None.

1-R5RXTZ Error Indication: Devices configured with 1-sec publish period are demoted to 5-sec publish period on rejoin.

Description: In a highly dense field network with all the routers and access points close to their maximum capacity, field device drop-off and re-join through an access point or a router where the system cannot allocate resources for 1-sec publish period results in the allocation of a 5-sec publish period.

Recovery: Identify those field devices demoted to 5-sec publish period and manually change their publish period to 1-sec (from the user interface).

Workaround: None

1-RDQS7K Error Indication: User Interface delays and/or FD drop-off.

Description: The Cisco Aironet 1552S AP and Multinode provides access to both IEEE 802.11 a/b/g clients and ISA100.11a field instruments. It is possible to saturate the IEEE 802.11 mesh network with the transfer of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g client data slowing down or altogether stopping the transfer of ISA100.11a data to/from the WDM.

Recovery: Reduce IEEE 802.11 a/b/g client traffic on the IEEE 802.11 mesh network.

Workaround: Regulate the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g client traffic on the IEEE 802.11 mesh network.

1-TQZQHX Error Indication: FD configured at 1sec publish period is automatically changed to 5sec publish period by the system..

Description: In a dense topology with a minimum number of routers, a topology change to a field device with 1sec publish period may result in the system changing the publish period to 5 sec because the new communication parent does not have sufficient resources to handle the 1sec publish period.

Recovery: None.

Workaround: Additional routers may need to be deployed to increase ISA100.11a network communication resources, and user needs to manually reconfigure the device publish period to 1sec from the device property panel (on the UI).

1-R8T057 Error Indication: Field Devices configured as Routers rejoined as Non-Routers following WDM reboot.

1-URDYSJ Error Indication: OneWireless UI does not display firmware upgrade progress for access points and field devices.

Description: The firmware upgrade progress pop-up may not display correctly if any of the following conditions occur: (1) FDAP is changed from access point to field router role (or vice versa) during firmware upgrade by connecting/removing Ethernet cable, (2) DHCP range is changed and FDAP requests new IP address during disjoin/rejoin (due to power cycle or firmware upgrade).

Recovery: Perform backup and restore of WDM to restore the firmware upgrade progress window.

Workaround: Do not disrupt access point during firmware upgrade. Do not reconfigure your DHCP range to exclude addresses already allocated on a running system.

1-RLTS0L Error Indication: Error icons are displayed in the property panel and/or an "error on page" status is displayed for the browser.

Description: If multiple user interface clients are running, and one client deletes a device, the other client can display the error if the device that was deleted is being shown in the property panel.

Recovery: Restart the user interface (i.e., logoff and logon, or refresh the browser page).

Workaround: None.

1-T7WSI7 Error Indication: User interface properties panel fails to update for 30+ seconds if user selects devices too quickly in selection panel.

Description: The properties panel may fail to update for 30 seconds or longer if a user quickly toggles between devices on the selection panel. The properties panel displays "????" for parameter values during this time.

Recovery: The properties panel automatically resumes periodic updates after about 30 seconds.

Workaround: None.

1-OJMREQ Error Indication: Multi-select is not working on the extended selection panel.

Description: Multi-select does not work on the extended selection panel. A user cannot select more than one item when the extended selection panel is displayed.

Recovery: None.

Workaround: Collapse the extended selection panel to normal size when performing multi-select operations.

1-T3EEY8 Error Indication: The field device icon is shown incorrectly in the Selection Panel.

Description: When you change a field device role from router to non-router, the Selection Panel may show the device as a router. The topology map & Property Panel shows the correct icon.

Recovery: Refresh the browser (i.e., re-login to the user interface).

Workaround: None.

1-JK4STY Error Indication: The image displayed for the location in the topology view is blurry.

Description: Depending on the zoom level the image displayed for the location in the topology view is blurry. This is caused by the original image being too large and having to be resized by the OneWireless user interface.

Recovery: None.

Workaround: Use a third party image processing tool to change the size of the image to a smaller size and reload this resized image.

1-PYGPSD Error Indication: In expanded device list view, the scroll button is resized and repositioned while in use.

Description: While attempting to scroll to the bottom of the expanded device list view, the scrollbar button may 'bounce' up and be resized as you near the bottom of the list.

Recovery: Continue dragging the scrollbar button down to the bottom of the list until the desired device is brought into view.

Workaround: Switch the device list to tree or un-expanded view and scroll to the desired position in the list, then switch back to expanded view. The expanded view maintains the same scroll position as the tree view.

1-QOEJKN Error Indication: When loading a large image for a location, an error is displayed saying not to load an image smaller than 256x256.

Description: There is an upper limit on the size of an image that can be loaded. The limit is about 6MB. The pixel dimensions are not the determining factor, but the physical size of the file is.

Recovery: None

Workaround: Use a third party image processing tool to change the size of the image to a smaller size and reload this resized image.

Description: Devices in the map are usually shown "grayed out" when they are not included in the filter. If the status of the device changes subsequent to the filter, then its presentation in the map does not correctly indicate its filter status.

Recovery: Refresh the filter or switch to another map and then back to the original map.

Workaround: None.

1-REWWP1 Error Indication: The time displayed in the alarm notification popup does not agree with the time in the alarms & events page.

Description: The time displayed in the alarm notification popup is in UTC (i.e., Greenwich time), while the times displayed in the alarms/events page is displayed in local time.

Recovery: None.

Workaround: None.

1-MUNN5T Error Indication: FDAP may disappear from topology view if role is changed from FDAP AP to FDAP Router (or vice versa).

Description: A FDAP may disappear from the topology view if the role is changed from an access point to an ISA100.11a network router (or vice versa). This role change occurs if the FDAP Ethernet cable is disconnected and/or reconnected to the field device network switch (or some other trigger that results in 802.11 network communication interruption/resumption).

Recovery: Place the device on the map by dragging the device from the properties panel to the topology view.

Workaround: None.
