The metallic Epoxy Floors we pour and install are the thickest most durable friendly coating on the market hands down. We install our epoxy at 45 square feet per gallon while our competitors are installing epoxy floor systems at a coverage of 60 to 120 square feet per gallon! When you install epoxy that thin you will never get the dynamic looks, flow, marbleization, and effects that our Metallic Epoxy Installation creates. When you choose Epoxy Art Pros system you're getting an industrial grade product with proprietary additives specifically designed to create longer working time before setting up so we aren’t as rushed during the installation! It will bond better, last longer, has higher scratch resistance and it's 2x to 3x thicker than any other product available while still having competitive pricing.

Each floor is installed first using a primer and a 100% Solids Epoxy, and Metallics to create a truly one of a kind high-end floor. We highly recommend our Urethane Topcoat for added durability and scratch resistance.

Our floors are a step above the rest because our Metallic Epoxy Resin is a living, flowing resin during its curing process. Our resin is more fluid than any other resin on the market, making it easier to self-level, creating that natural look of blended colors without theinstaller needing an artistic touch.

PREPPING THE SUBSTRATE OR SURFACE

EPOXY PRIMER COAT

Priming the floor is simple and fast once the subfloors have been prepared. WE mix the epoxy primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the floor is completely pigmented. And then we can start applying the base coat, or we can wait until the next day.

METALLIC EPOXY COAT

Applying the Base Coat and Highlights is what we’ve been waiting for! We mix our Epoxy Base Coat, pour it out across the floor and begin to spread out the epoxy with a rubber squeegee getting it as even as we can. Our Epoxy is designed to be self-leveling so we don't have to worry about getting it perfectly even. We then Quickly roll over the surface with our paint roller to help even out our epoxy. Then we mix the pre-measured highlight color and apply it to the Base Color, then blend it to the desired look. ( NOTE! There are no two floors that turn out alike! This is artwork, not a standard pre-stamped floor we’re installing. Don’t expect your floor to look like a picture or a sample we showed you, we will try our best to produce what you’re looking for but just remember this is one of a kind ART and your floor is going to be special and no other person will have one exactly like yours! )

DURABLE WEAR TOP COAT We offer 2 different gloss sheens in our Urethane Top Coat. You Have the option to have a High Gloss or Satin finish. We need to roll these out super thin and in doing so they leave behind a minor textured finish which gives it the extra durability. We need to apply it within 24 hrs of installing your Epoxy or we will need to sand the surface before applying it costing extra for labor costs if we end up having to sand. ( please note that since we are applying this with a roller that there are often some subtle roller marks that show up when the light hits the floor just right but they tend to wear down over time, if you notice them at all. )

DISPERSING EFFECTSThis is an added upgradeable ( we need to know before we start the job if you want this add on item however ) feature which is designed to create unique effects in the epoxy surface by mixing any of our special metallic pigments with a special blend isopropyl alcohol. Once sprayed onto the surface of our epoxy it will disperse the surface creating dynamic looks, colors and cells. Often times they appear as holes or pot marks similar to what you would find in a travertine stone or similar.

ENDLESS TECHNIQUES AND LOOKSOne of the coolest parts about our Floors, besides the fact that we can transform your floor in sometimes as little as 2 days, is our endless design techniques and possibilities. We are always inventing and creating new techniques to achieve different looks!!!

DECAL LOGOS, STICKERS, AND PICTURES

It's simple, all you need to do is provide us with a vinyl decal shop and have them print your logo, sticker or picture with an adhesive backing (just like stickers are made). Before we apply your topcoat we will place your decal or picture on the epoxy surface and apply Urethane Top Coat right over it. Now you have a custom logo or picture in your floor that's protected by our High Wear Urethane Top Coat. We typically just need you to send us your artwork in one of the following formats.ai, .pdf, .eps, .psd, .psb, .indd, .jpg, .png & .tif

Installing Epoxy over TileThis can sometimes save you thousands of dollars saving you the expense of having the tile removed along with the extra cost for disposal!!! As long as your tile is installed properly, secured and bonded well to the existing sub floor we should be good to go! We simply scuff up the tile surface with a sander and or grinder and apply our Prep Replacement Primer that will chemically bond to the tile. Then we apply our Pigmented Primer. After the primer dries, we apply and flood coat the tile to level out the floor and were ready to apply our Metallic Epoxy Coat!

Installing Epoxy over WOOD subfloorsApplying our epoxy over wood is also easy. We simply apply a special floor prep additive to all the wood subfloor joints and any seams, gaps or holes with the special prep additive, then let it dry. Then we simply sand it using 80 grit sandpaper, smooth out the floor patch prep additive then vacuum and clean the floor. And now were ready to start the epoxy primer process and then the Metallic Epoxy!!

Our resin is created using the most refined, high quality raw materials

you can buy making it an industrial grade resin. After 24 hours our

resin will be rock hard, after 48 hours ready for daily use. After 7 days

our resin will be fully cured making it the most scratch resistant epoxy

on the market. When you add our High Wear Top Coat for added

durability and scratch resistance, you will have the most durable

surface that you can get with resins.

SCRATCH RESISTANCETESTED

The Epoxy we use for countertops is different than our Floor Epoxy

because it needs to stand up to High Heat whereas floors do not. This

is a special mix created by our chemists. It's rated for up to 400

degrees without being affected. Even having this Heat

Resistant Coating on your countertop, we still highly recommend

treating them like any other high end counter top and using hot

pads on the surface when setting down hot items.

Basic Countertop 101

Please have all of your countertops clear of all kitchen or bath room items before we arrive. We start by simply prepping the surface of the countertops with just (80-100 Grit) sandpaper then wipe clean. Granite and marble we will need to remove the sealer first. Tile will need the grout lines filled with a special floor prep additive and sanded smooth before applying our primer and Epoxy.
