“My winter show this year will tell the full history of theAmerican Indian wars. Beginning in the 1600’s with ChiefEagle Plume, who fought the British of James Town and ending in the late 1800’s with the Oglala Souix Chief CrazyHorse and his famous victory at Little Big Horn. I traveledto South Dakota this summer to hear the Lakota historyfrom the Oglala Souix themselves. All this research hashelped me put together what I think will be some of my mostexciting works to date”.

“I have done artwork for as long as I can remember; I havebeen painting professionally for about ten years. In thebeginning I was very concerned with what others though ofmy paintings, later I was preoccupied with what the “experts”thought of my work. Slowly this preoccupation has shifted.In recent years I have become more concerned with what Ithink of my work. I feel like I have begun an introspectivejourney that places importance on truth. This includes beingtrue to myself, my work and also to the moods and ideas thatI consider worth of my attention.The world is made up of opposites, each pulling in separatedirections. My most recent focus is to balance theseopposites, to manipulate them visually so that they produceharmony. Since true harmony is individual, I introduce myversion of it to you”.
