Lincoln is currently in the process of choosing the 9th One Book - One Lincoln title. For the first time ever, the title for the 2010 program will be determined by a community vote. Five finalists were announced by the Selection Committee on Monday, May 31st. Voting will take place June 1 – July 30. Ballots can be found at all Lincoln City Libraries locations and local bookstores. Voting may also be done online at the library’s website. The winning title will be announced in September. At that point programming and discussion opportunities will begin. Check the library’s website at lincolnlibraries.org often for the latest announcements.

One Book–One Lincoln
Now in its 9th year, One Book-One Lincoln is a community reading program sponsored by Lincoln City Libraries.
Since 2002, the program encourages all adults in Lincoln and Lancaster County to read and discuss the same book at the same time.
The goal of the program is to encourage reading and dialogue by creating a community-wide reading and discussion experience.
New for 2010: Vote for Your Favorite Online or In Person!
Readers are invited to help pick this year's selected title. Votes will be accepted from June 1st through July 31st, and the
winning title will be announced in September.
Online: Visit the One Book-One Lincoln survey form online to cast your vote for which of the five finalists you'd like to see us build discussion groups and special programming around later in the fall.
In Person: Paper ballots are available at all Lincoln City Libraries and at preview event sites.
2010 selection process
Nominations for One Book–One Lincoln titles were accepted through February 2.
A committee of library & community members spent several months reading, discussing, and evaluating nominated titles.
Five finalists were announced to the public during a May 31st
live event at The Mill in the Haymarket.
Votes may be submitted from June 1–July 31 .
The community’s choice for One Book–One Lincoln 2010 will be announced in September.

Popular titles, including the five 2010 One Book-One Lincoln finalists, are available from Lincoln City Libraries Book as a Book Club in a Bag, designed for book clubs and organizations.
Book Club in a Bag contains 10 copies of a single title, plus starter discussion questions.
Book Club in a Bag selections may be checked out for 8 weeks with no renewals.
