Once upon a time there was a lovely little town hidden deep in a beautiful forest.

Leprechauns had lived here for hundreds of years.

They were very busy with so much to do. Mr. Lou was always busy painting. “I have so

very much to do. I need to paint but I’m running out of the color blue. Whatever will I

do?”

It was the leprechaun’s job to bring luck to the people surrounding the forest. The

leprechauns would drop lucky coins on the sidewalk for people to find. When a person

chose to pick it up they would have good luck all day long for as long as they kept that

coin. That’s where this cool rhyme came from. “Find a penny and pick it up and all day

long you’ll have good luck!” I just love that rhyme! Don’t you?

The leprechauns would also make big beautiful rainbows that would bring luck to

anyone who looked at them. Sometimes they would stick a pot of gold at the end of the

rainbow.

The leprechauns did many more things to bring luck to everyone around but I’m not

allowed to give away too many of the lucky leprechaun secrets.
