Mark Squirrell, aka 'Squiz', was awarded the coveted 'Green Beret' whilst serving as an officer within the
Australian Commandos.
From car bombings to meeting Yasser Arafat and making it to the summit of Mount Everest, Mark ‘Squiz’ Squirrell has experienced more than many can
dream about.
When he headed to the East Timor Crisis in 1999 he was setting out on the adventure of a lifetime. It was a journey that would see him navigate some of
the globes most brutal war zones to deliver emergency aid and conquer the world’s tallest mountain.

WHO CAN ENTER?The awards are open to any individual, team or organisation operating in an Asia–Pacific country that have implemented or released a learning solution since January 2013. Entries that are implemented or released outside this timeframe won’t be considered. A ‘team’ is defined as being any group that’s come together for the specific purpose of undertaking and completing a project. The team members can be from within one organisation or can have come together from multiple organisations.
ENTRY OPTIONSYou can enter one or multiple awards. You can use the same project or solution in order to enter various award categories as long as you meet the specified criteria.

INVESTMENTAward entry costs $150 AUD (GST inclusive), and you must submit payment and have it cleared by the deadline date in order for the judging panel to consider your entry. Multiple award entries are acceptable, and a separate fee is applicable for each award entry. Payment, by way of credit card, money order or cheque, is to be made out to the LearnX Foundation. An additional fee of $150 AUD, GST inclusive, is applicable if you wish to attend the awards presentation.
JUDGINGThe judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into either before or after the judging. The quality of the LearnX Impact Awards is such that you may need to include confidential information as part of your entry. The LearnX Foundation guarantees that this information will be restricted to the LearnX Impact Award judges and remain strictly confidential. All submitted materials will be deleted and/or destroyed after the judging process. Certain award categories may be judged in three sectors: corporate, public service and industry specific.
AWARDS ACCEPTANCEWinning entrants are obliged to have a senior delegate attend the awards presentation to accept the award. Failure to attend the awards presentation might entail withdrawal of the award.
RETURN OF ENTRIESEntries and other accompanying material won’t be returned, but each entry will be acknowledged, via e-mail or phone, as having been received.
