Aida Lugo is an artist in residence at the dA Center for the Arts and a teaching artist at AMOCA. Her work explores the boundaries between art mediums. Lugo received a BFA in Sculpture and New Genres from Otis College of Art and Design.

Jeff Picou teaches the ceramic arts at El Dorado High School in Placentia, California. His work explores the tension between control and chance. “I loved drawing as a child, but fell in love with art when I saw the Picasso show at LACMA in 1998.”

A Day at the Museum

AMOCA partners with Title 1, grades 4-12 schools within 60 miles of the institution. Schools participate in a 3-3.5 hour field trip to AMOCA for up to 50 students and 6 chaperones. Field trips include a transportation stipend, admission, tours, gallery guides, and a hands-on clay activity.

The 2018 program is funded in part by the Joseph and Ruth Reed Foundation and the DEW Foundation.
