Everything I say, and everything I write is always on the record…or always for the record. There’s nothing behind anyone’s back, there’s nothing that I would ever disclaim that I said. There is nothing that I’ve said that I wouldn’t want someone to read or know. I stand behind everything that I think, that I share. If there’s anything that I really want to keep private, I never put it in writing…and I try not to even say it out loud to myself.

-Barbara Rosenthal, excerpted from conversation with Joseph A. Quintela

About the Artists:

Moray Hillary is a visual artist based in

Glasgow and exhibits internationally. While primarily painting based, his practice involves installation based work. Together with painting on canvas there remains a large variety of stylistic strategies that can underwrite and scaffold critical engagement with conceptual ideas. For instance it is possible to produce painting that finds its' starting point with everyday objects and materials that are modified through paint. For this exhibit he has produced a

series of "portraits" on record vinyl. His subject’s facial features are concealed, yet somehow maintain enough visual cues or traits to piece together a personality.
