The firm handles public relations and media communications for several national business support organizations as well as private sector clients. Daily contact with national and regional journalists, combined with a significant writing workload enables the staff to empathize with those who want to handle their own PR. For this reason, and responding to a growing demand, Lawrence established the PR Coaching program.

Do you have a budget? Would it be better to pay for an agency?

Some PR coaches argue that PR agencies are unnecessary in all

situations. This is nonsense.

A professional PR agency will typically bring skills and experience that makes their services valuable to those with reasonable marketing and PR budgets.

These skills will include strong creative writing, an understanding of the priorities of particular news media and journalists, a good reputation with journalists with whom they are dealing every day and the experience of having handled numerous similar clients and situations.

However, employing an agency has to be whole hearted and for the long term.

If you don't have the budget that will pay for at least two days agency time per month for a full year, then the "do your own" route is the alternative until you do.

PR coaching allows you to spend your time fruitfully. It is our experience that time is the resource that is at a premium in most small and growing businesses and PR coaching ensures that you derive maximum benefit from the time allocated to PR effort.

The Benefits of PR..

+ Companies hear a lot about public relations; often times PR is the popular buzzword in marketing and advertising. Although most know it's important the benefits are not always understood, so I want to share with you the true benefits of public relations and why it should be important to you.

Public relations seem so glamorous, after all what company doesn't want to say we just hired a PR firm? Public relations if done right can reach a large audience without the expensive cost of traditional advertising and marketing.

A few of the significant public relations benefits include:

• Economical way to reach your target audience in masses

• Stimulates awareness of, and the demand for your company's products or services

• Strengthens your company image and perception

• Paints the picture of a company that is active and innovative

• Creates more credibility that traditional advertising

• Creates an advantage of your competitors that are not utilizing PR effectively

• Increase search engine visibility and organic results

As you can see a well run public relations program carries with it multiple benefits that can have a significant impact that is greater than traditional marketing or advertising vehicles. It's a proven fact that public relations also carry a higher credibility factor.

If PR is not a part of your marketing program, it may be time to consider and implement a public relations campaign to complement your existing marketing plan.

“Ms. Lawrence brings innovation and 18 years of experience to public relations as business woman, I can’t recall her ever working for anyone.”
