4 February 2012 LeisureGroupTravel.com I’M prOud Of whaT we do here at Leisure Group Travel, but it doesn’t mean we can’t improve. It’s an issue we tackle daily as we compile your maga- zine and companion website. So as we usher in our first edition of the year, you will notice some subtle design enhance- ments and a sharper focus to our edito- rial coverage. For example, fonts have been updated throughout the magazine – creating a fresher, more inviting look. Links to online articles that support the print content are more prevalent, and our special-interest editorial coverage has taken on a fresh new look. (See “10 Top Factory Tours,” page 16.) The true test of a magazine’s quality is not a pretty cover, but what’s inside. That’s where Leisure Group Travel shines. While the competition chooses glossy covers and advertiser-sponsored content disguised as editorial coverage, we’ve doubled down on our commitment to create useful content that helps you build better groups. There’s a time and place for advertorial, and Leisure Group Travel’s editorial isn’t the place. We continue to invest our resources into creating unique content based on our experience in planning group trips. This you can rely on. 2012 – The Year of Online On Jan. 3 we debuted our latest plan- ning website, TourItineraries.com. We know how important sample itineraries are to your planning, so we’ve created a one-stop-shop for researching world- wide trip ideas. TourItineraries.com is in- tegrated throughout our network of sites, which means you’ll find a great cross-section of group tour, religious, student, girlfriend, niche and special-in- terest itineraries. InSite, our brand of e-newsletters for group travel, student & youth travel, reli- gious, cruise and sports event planning, has a new look for 2012. We’ve made the design more user-friendly, removing some ads to focus on content and adding interactive elements like surveys and web polls. Subscribe to any of our InSite e-newsletters free of charge by visiting LeisureGroupTravel.com and clicking on the Subscribe tab. Our niche market directories are an easy way to find new destinations and group-friendly hotels, attractions and service providers. This spring we’re unveiling the second update to our directory platform in less than a year. We’re incorporating features like Click to Call and making them mobile device-compliant. As much as I’m still a print guy, I have seen the future and the age of digital transformation is upon us. Our purpose is to marry this great content with technology, making it easy for you to conceive, design and execute great group travel programs. I thank you for your continued reader- ship – best to you in 2012. I’M prOud Of whaT we do here at

Leisure Group Travel, but it doesn’t

mean we can’t improve. It’s an issue we

tackle daily as we compile your maga-

usher in our first edition of the year, you

will notice some subtle design enhance-

Links to online articles that support the

print content are more prevalent, and

our special-interest editorial coverage

has taken on a fresh new look. (See

“10 Top Factory Tours,” page 16.)

The true test of a magazine’s quality

is not a pretty cover, but what’s inside.

That’s where Leisure Group Travel

shines. While the competition chooses

glossy covers and advertiser-sponsored

content disguised as editorial coverage,

we’ve doubled down on our commitment

to create useful content that helps you

build better groups. There’s a time and

place for advertorial, and Leisure Group

Travel’s editorial isn’t the place. We

continue to invest our resources into

creating unique content based on our

2012 – The Year of Online

On Jan. 3 we debuted our latest plan-

ning website, TourItineraries.com. We

know how important sample itineraries

are to your planning, so we’ve created a

one-stop-shop for researching world-

wide trip ideas. TourItineraries.com is in-

tegrated throughout our network of

sites, which means you’ll find a great

cross-section of group tour, religious,

student, girlfriend, niche and special-in-

terest itineraries.

InSite, our brand of e-newsletters for

group travel, student & youth travel, reli-

gious, cruise and sports event planning,

has a new look for 2012. We’ve made

the design more user-friendly, removing

some ads to focus on content and adding

interactive elements like surveys and

web polls. Subscribe to any of our InSite

e-newsletters free of charge by visiting

LeisureGroupTravel.com and clicking

on the Subscribe tab.

Our niche market directories are

an easy way to find new destinations

and group-friendly hotels, attractions

and service providers. This spring

we’re unveiling the second update to

our directory platform in less than a

year. We’re incorporating features like

Click to Call and making them mobile

device-compliant.

As much as I’m still a print guy, I

have seen the future and the age of

digital transformation is upon us. Our

purpose is to marry this great content

with technology, making it easy for you

to conceive, design and execute great

group travel programs.

I thank you for your continued reader-

ship – best to you in 2012.
