Power Company Limited, Mr. Krishna Bhupal

visited the Shrinagar HEP site to evaluate the

developmental works. They acknowledged the

hard work and efforts of the entire project team.

Dr. GVK Reddy adjudged Infrastructure Person of the Year

Dr. GVK Reddy has been recognised as the

“Infrastructure Person of the Year 2013” at the

Construction Week India Awards held in

Mumbai. Dr. GVK Reddy has been awarded for

his signicant contribution to the Indian

infrastructure and nation building. The

Construction Week Awards are one of the

most prestigious recognitions in the realm of

construction, infrastructure and real estate.

The awards are run by ITP

Group, founded in 1987 in the

UK, and has received many

accolades including The Queen's

Award for Excellence in 1995.

Estate), Unity Infraprojects,

AFCONS Infrastructure, Tata

Housing and Hyderabad Metro.

comprehensive information on arrivals and

location of parking slots and transport

services etc.

GVK BIA received a 'Special Award for Network

Pioneer' at the IDG Annual Summit Awards 2013.

This award recognizes the airport for its pioneering

work in the space of IT innovations.

GVK BIA also received a Special Outstanding

Award for Best maintained Gardens at the

recent Landscape garden competition

organized by Mysore Horticultural Society.

Dr. D. L. Maheswar, Director of Horticulture

and Chairman, Mysore Horticulture Society.

In order to promote healthy living and reduce

the rising pollution levels in the city, GVK one

team participated in a “Cycle-to-work” event,

organised by Greater Hyderabad Municipal

Corporation, Andhra Pradesh Industrial

Infrastructure Corporation and Hyderabad

Metro Rail. The event witnessed participation

from all over the state.

Go Goindwal A major milestone was crossed at GVK’s Goindwal

Sahib Thermal Power Plant when the Unit # 2 Boiler

Light Up was successfully achieved at 1150 hours on

September 25. This achievement is dedicated to

the sheer hard work of the entire Power team

and especially the team at Goindwal Sahib TPP.

Mr. Manjit Singh, Member - Thermal, Central

Electrical Authority (CEA) visited the site

recently and reviewed the project.

SAARC Seminar

Mr. M.M. Madan, Director - Hydro attended

the SAARC Seminar on “Role of Private

Sector in Regional Power Trade” in New

Delhi. The objective of the seminar was to

enhance cooperation on sharing concepts,

expertise and knowledge between the

private and public institutions in order to

attract private sector investments in

regional power trade.

would facilitate expectant

mothers to the hospital and

thereafter would drop the

mother and new-born back

home safely. Dr. Raman Singh,

Hon'ble Chief Minister of

Chhattisgarh agged off the

ambulances at the launch.

GVK EMRI-Goa celebrated 5 years

of dedicated service in the state.

The event was graced by Hon'ble

Health Minister-Shri Laxmikant

Parsekar, CEO, GVK EMRI-Shri

Subodh Satyawadi and other

dignitaries. Team GVK EMRI - Goa

has attended more than 2 lakh

emergency cases and saved over

14,000 lives since inception.

On the special occasion of Teacher’s

Day on Sep 5, GVK EMRI-Ahmedabad

felicitated 23 trainers. These trainers

are a part of Emergency Medical

Technician Committee, who train

pilots and other staff members of the

team. These are indeed the real

heroes beh ind the successfu l

response mechanism in the state. The

GVK EMRI team has handled almost

39 lakh cases in the state and is still

going strong.
