The structural use of FRP composites in civil engineering has increased tremendously over the past two decades, primarily for the strengthening of existing structures but also increasingly for the construction of new structures. Papers are invited in several areas of FRP composites in civil engineering including but not limited to:

• Materials and products, new fibers, natural fibers,innovative polymers and processes • Eco-composite & bio-sourced composite materials • FRC and cement composite materials • Bond behavior • Durability, long-term performances • Fire, impact and blast loading • Strengthening of concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures • Seismic retrofit of structures • Concrete-filled FRP tubular members • Concrete structures reinforced or pre-stressed with FRP • Hybrid structures of FRP and other materials • All FRP structures • Smart FRP structures • Inspection and quality assurance • Life-cycle performance • Practical applications • Design codes/guidelines

Conference Technical Program

• Opening ceremony • 6 keynote lectures. We intend to organize live e-conferences for these keynotes, or at least to make them available by podcast. • Parallel technical sessions (tentative 4 parallel sessions for 300-350 expected delegates) • Student competition • Best paper award • IIFC general and council meetings • Other specific meetings if necessary • Technical exhibitions by private companies • Closing ceremony

Social Program

Welcome Reception

A friendly reception will be organised on the evening of July 17Th, in order to welcome the delegates and their accompanying persons, At this stage, it is planned to organise this event on the first level of the Eiffel Tower, at the “Salon Gustave Eiffel”. The “Gustave Eiffel" reception room takes advantage of its exceptional location at the heart of the monument that symbolises France around the world, at an altitude of 57 metres, with an unbeatable view over Paris and its most notable sites. During the reception, all participants will enjoy a refreshing cocktail and will have the possibility to register for the conference.

Conference Banquet

Several options are currently considered for the Banquet of CICE 2018, which are all located in prestigious

areas of the French capital and will offer all delegates the opportunity to taste the French gastronomy and

way of life.
