ACADEMIC PROJECTS Job Search Engine Sept 2014 – Dec 2014 Developed a system, for searching job postings to the candidate requirements using different informed and uninformed search algorithms and various heuristics, using ontology as knowledge base. Used protégé to generate RDF triples and Jena to query the ontology using SPARQL queries. Interactive Blogging Platform Sept 2014 – Dec 2014 Using MEAN stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, NodeJS) created a service-oriented web application having following characteristics – Distributed Caching, Compression, Replication, Sharding, Encryption, High availability and fault tolerance. Electoral Results Prediction July 2012 - June 2013 Analyzed political opinion of citizens based on real-time data from Twitter using multi-node Hadoop cluster. Initially performed indexing and clustering on this data based on different parameters like location, political parties and candidates. The aggregation was essential step in tackling Hadoop small files problem. Then, identified sentiment using Maximum Entropy classifier. Finally displayed real time scenario using Marklogic Server. Structural Extraction of Web pages Aug 2011 – Nov 2011 Designed a module to extract semantic structure of web pages using Vision based page segmentation (VIPS) algorithm and plotted it with Graphviz.
