Step 6 INSTRUCTIONS 1. Component: Add a stop bead to 1yd of thread, leaving a short tail. Add MR; pass through the MR two more times to wrap the thread around each side of the bead. 2. Add DRa and pass under the thread on the outside edge of the MR; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first DRa added. Remove the stop bead and tie off the tail thread. 3. Add DRa and pass through the next DRa of Step 2; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first DRa added. 4. a) Add TR and pass through the next DRa of Step 3; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first TR added. b) Add TR and pass through the next TR of Step 4a; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first TR added. 5. a) Add DRb, DRb and pass through the next TR of Step 4b; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first two DRb added. b) Add DRb and pass through the next two DRb of Step 5a; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first DRb added. Repeat the thread path of this round. Repeat Steps 1–5 five times for a total of six components. 6. Join: Use the working thread of 1 component to add DRa, DRa, TR, DRa, DRa; pass through one DRb of Step 5 on a second component, opposite that component's working thread. Add DRa, DRa, TR, DRa, DRa; pass through the last DRb exited on the first component. Repeat this thread path for strength before tying off. Repeat this step four times. 7. Clasp Buon: a) Using the thread of the final component, weave through to exit back through the next DRb of Step 5b. Add ten DRb; skip over the DRb exited in Step 5b and pass through the next DRb of Step 5b. Weave through to exit back through the last five DBb added. b) Add DRa, DRa, TR, DRa, DRa, MR, TR, TR; pass back through the MR. c) Add DRa, DRa, TR, DRa, DRa; pass back through the first five DRb added in Step 7a. Repeat this thread path for strength before tying off. 8. Clasp Loop: On 1 yd of thread, add thirty-six DRa. Tie a knot against the tail, then pass through the next DRa. Add DRa, skip over the next DRa, then pass through the next DRa; repeat seventeen times. Pass through the first DRa added. Repeat Steps 4 and 5.
