EFL/ESL TEACHING POSITIONS (For non-Omanis)

Sultan Qaboos University, the National University of the Sultanate of Oman, invites applications from qualified teachers ofEnglish as a foreign/second language for the following posts:

LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR - A bachelors degree in an English-related field plus an internationally recognized postgraduatediploma in EFL/EFL and 2 years TEFL/TESL teaching experience; or a masters degree in TEFL/TESL or Applied Linguisticswith 0-2 years teaching experience.

SENIOR LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR - A masters degree in TESL/TEFL or Applied Linguistics with a TESL/TEFLspecialization and a minimum of 2 years postgraduate TESL/TEFL experience; or a PhD with 04 years postgraduateTESL/TEFL experience.

ASSISTANT LANGUAGE LECTURER - A masters degree in TEFL/TESL with a minimum of 6 years postgraduate ELTexperience; or PhD in Applied Linguistics with a TESL/TEFL specialization plus 4 years postgraduate TESL/TEFLexperience.

Applicants whose qualifications do not meet any of the specified qualifications (e.g. those with an MA inTranslation or Literature) will not be considered, and will not receive a reply. Applicants who receive regret letters can re-apply after a relevant upgrade to their qualifications or experience. Note : We also recruit at TESOL Arabia in the UAE and TESOL International in the USA.

SALARY:

Apart from an attractive tax-free basic salary, the University provides free, furnished accommodation, a 34-month renewablecontract with end-of-service gratuity, annual leave with return air tickets, an educational allowance for up to 2 children andfree medical services in government hospitals in the Sultanate. MAIN DUTIES:

To teach general EFL and/or Academic English to undergraduate students up to 20 hours a week and participate in courseand materials development when necessary. Applicants are requested to send a full CV and supporting documents (copies of transcripts) to:
