Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Chattisgarh was fortunate to be selected for the same we started a Community Kitchen at Bilaspur. The objective of this Community Kitchen was to feed ‘Prasadam’ to the needy migrant labour travelling to Jharkhand and West Bengal from Telangana, Gujarat and Maharashtra as the passengers travelling by the ‘Shramik Trains’ were not permitted to get down from the train at any station for buying food and moreover, the trains stopped at very few stations. Further, the seva of Prasad Distribution was also extended to the Quarantine centres. The Youth of Bilaspur Samithi and the adjoining Samithis (20 boys and 9 girls) and the students of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (6 boys and 4 girls), those who were at Bilaspur during the lockdown, contributed their might and showed excellence in their Seva. On an average 40-50 seva dal members participated, in different batches, every day. Their Seva started at 5 am with prayers and food was cooked and the same packed by the sevadal. Needless to mention that they strictly followed the norms laid down by our organization. The Seva started on 26 th May, 2020 and ended on 4 th June, 2020 with Mangal Aarti to Bhagawan Baba. During this period a total of 16218 Prasadam Packets were distributed. Offering ‘prasadam’ to the needy was a seva activity but to see the happiness of receivers was divinely blissful as though Baba himself was showering his blessings. We, the devotees of Chattisigarh, offer our humble gratitude to Bhagwan and sincere thanks to the Central trust for helping us to carry out this activity Kitchen Disptach Entry -Report Sl.no Date Dispatch Slot No of Food Packets Distributed Other Items Distributed Location of Distribution Water (Ltrs) 1 26.05.2020 Morning 992 992 Bilaspur Railway Station 2 27.05.2020 Morning 1292 1292 -do- 3 28.05.2020 Morning 1710 0 Bilaspur Quarantine Centre 4 29.05.2020 Morning 1385 0 -do- 5 30.05.2020 Morning 1371 0 -do- 6 31.05.2020 Morning 1892 0 -do- 7 01.06.2020 Morning 1829 0 -do- 8 02.06.2020 Morning 1944 0 -do- 9 03.06.2020 Morning 1695 0 -do- 10 04.06.2020 Morning 2108 0 -do- GRAND TOTAL 16218 2284
