From Sri Vishnu Suktam. N. Swamiji blesses devotees for Guru Vandana HARI OM Oct was busy with activities like Deepawali and Guru Vandhana programs. On Deepawali day many devotees visited the temple all day long and got blessings of Goddess Maha Lakshmi. In the evening Maha Lakshmi Abhishekham was performed. Manoj Kumar, Chandrashekaran & A.R Krishnan helped Sri N. Swamiji to perform the Abhishekham. Swamiji expressed that Deepawali symbolizes light over darkness. Just like the lamp lights our world, it also lights our eternal souls. Vishnu Sahasranama, Lalita Stotram, Sri Ramanama sankeertana, Sundarakhanda & Hanuman Chalisa were observed. In addition free medical checkup service was also offered by Dr. Ashok Kumar. Four days of Guru Vandana from October 29th to November 1 st was celebrated. On the first day, Swamiji explained the importance of the Guru Vandana Pooja to all devotees. He gave diksha to devotees who had registered their names for Guru Vandana. Next, Swamiji did Tulasi Pooja with devotees. Mrs. Roopa Natha, Mrs Padma Gottipatti and Mrs Sudha Deva carried the kalashas on their heads to the place where the Tulasi Pooja was conducted. After the Guru Vandana Pooja, all devotees sang Sri Sai Baba bhajan and Aarathi. On the second day Abhishekam to Goddess Mahalakshmi was performed. On the third day 108 Kalasha Abhishekam to Lord Balaji was conducted. Mr. Prabhu Goel & Mrs. Poonam Goel felicitated Swamiji for his spiritual guidance to all devotees and his dedication to serve the community. Mr. Prabhu Dev spoke about the dedication of all volunteers in making the Guru Vandana program a huge success. On the fourth day, Sri Sathyanarayana Swami Pooja was performed with devotees. The Guru Vandana program concluded with blessings from Sri Sathyanarayana Swami and Lord Balaji. All the devotees who had taken diksha completed the Guru Vandana Diksha by taking Lord Balaji blessings. During the Guru Vanda Program, maha prasadam was served daily after pooja. At the end of the four day program, Swamiji honored dedicated devotees Narendra Rohit, Bhupendra & Shankuntala Patel, Roopa & Gopinatha who have helped immensely in making Balaji Temple a special place for devotees to worship. --Balaji Temple board

OUR PURPOSE The purpose of Balaji Temple is to form a Hindu Temple and Vedic Cultural Center on the Peninsula in the heart of Silicon Valley where people can come together to study and worship, regardless of our different backgrounds. Our aim is to promote the feeling of universal love and unity among all people. We will share the ancient wisdom of the Vedas and the Upanishads (sacred texts of India) with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
